thr-arrive in lahinch, night indymedia screening on beach
fri- walk all day, stop for screening and "communication action" in ennis, hook up with the rest
sat- dance dance dance, and plenty of "acting the bolix" with dancing girls

the change of date seems more practical- we get there when george is there,

prob also head down for an ennis indymedia gig on sun 20th, to get things going- anyone with contacts send them on

etaoins well and things coming along nicely with the black blankets- this can be incororoted into ambush plan and macbeth, if not already done so- just take a few minutes and will be v effective image

just watched the ::indymedia mayday film:: fucking lovely work

there will be screenings on the streets, on the beaches, on the hills
more wanders, more people finding out, getting invovled

till ideally the entire population of the planet is communicating with itself about what kind of world we want

We laid in wait for him here on Cape Cod- where he wanted to meet some more Billionaires for Bush, and after security concerns were studied- The White House cancelled his trip to here. todays times has listed the bush demo line up
think they simply had a quick gawk at indymedia and transcribed our feature
anyway- they have stated that bushwalk is leaving at dawn on fri- this was changed to walking on friday, due to not enough time to walk- perhaps we might still walk on the sat morning- leave @3am? clarify that soon

we will be down thr eitherway

i am having some difficulty accessing the following sites

to publicise the walk, this is a bit strange, can other people access the sites and inform people please. i am able to open other sites. worst case scenario would be that the bush regime have already closed down these communication portals as the day approaches so as to minimize debate about the issues?

some of the bushwalkers will arrive in lahinch this evening

thursday 24th
if at all possible, tonight we will try to show a short award winning film "globalisation and the media" to highlight some of the issues, perhaps this could happen in pruntys?

we will be staying in a peacecamp of sorts

friday 25th
first we swim in the ocean- acknowledge we live on this planet in this universe
@ 9 or 10 we will make a press release from lahinch followed by an open discussion on the walk and current issues. exact time and venue to be confirmed

we will walk to ennis and stay there- we will try to participate in the "reclaim the skies" actions

saturday 26th
we will do some "communication actions" @ ennis and then set out for the last leg- ideally getting as close to mr bush to tell him he is unwelcome and to support those asking gardai for his arrest
we will then participate in the "black blanket" demo with all other groups

there was 2 of us, dave smith and myself
we arrived thursday evening- swam and had a pint
fri- put together the press release, sent it @ 10am to clare fm and clare champion, went to the beach, spoke on clare fm,
spent a few seconds focusing on fact of being ALIVE, anseo anois
made the placards,
stuck "stop bush" to the prom wall

left @ 10.30-
plan was still unclear, not fully knowing where others would be, would we be able to join them etc...
said we would have a pint in each village-
lahinch, ennistymnon, inagh, ennis

stopped at the famine shrine to focus on what our country went through due to imperialism

we went in to dalys in ennistymon, met very nice supporting people, got pint each, and they insisted on giving us each one for the road,
banter was great, micheal clancy came up with many great suggestions to help us stop bush

went to family graveyard @ ennistymon to pay personal respects

arrived in inagh, went to biddy earlys, had lunch by inagh river under mount callan- had some of the "magic potion"

at this point we decided to give up the walking and hitch in to ennis, as a friend had got there and was wrecked and alone-met her and hitched out to shannon to try to participate in evening action- late, so had a pint and met an american lady- part irish decent part native american descent- she put the 3 of us up in car in car park

sat- went to peace camp and was part of AMBUSH and put on street theatre with black blanket
still dont know exactly if irish media covered fact that they used tank/armored car against us
aparently sky news braodcast the image, again no real conformation

i made and carried a banner which said
"7,000,000 people die every year due to unfair trade rules
bush rejects kyoto agreement
help change this crazy world"
there was smaller text which backed up these statements
1-trocaire call for people to help change unjust role of wto, imf at g8 talks @ genova 2001
2-mary robinson quote re wto when spaeking as acting preseident of oxfam at wto talks @ cancun, mexico, 2003 "when you see the rules of the game you cant help but see how unfari they are"
3- nobel economist prize winner joe stiglitz, one time head of world bank in his book "globalisation and its discontents" that the people out protesting against the wto, imf and world bank are right to, they have to either radically change or be ended
4- kyoto agreement is perhaps the most important agreement made in world history- what we have to do to sustain life on this planet"
