Jump To Comment: 1 2 3 4 5 6Congrats to the Irish Peace Society for gaining this audience with the Ambassador, good indication of what can be achieved by Peaceful demonstration. I liked your demonstration. I saw it on the news. Not too forceful, and not too soft.
I hope your audience with the man works out and brings something worthwhile.
Today in hong kong the memory of tiennaman square was marked.
It has been almost 15 years since 3 and 4 juin 1989 when the world saw the TV pictures of a former Chinese Regime call tanks down on protesters.
Real tanks not water cannon.

The Chinese Regime hasn't liked joined the familie of totally tranquil chilled XXI buzzers since, but
BIG BUT
it's neither Yankee nor Dixie today,
= China has shown no intention of extending Hegamony over the rest of the world, lock stock and no smoke without fire barrels.
Ok they want to put a man on the moon, but yesterday they published Nuala ní dhomnaill Ireland's sexiest poetess in Chinese, so they know how it is:-
deja la luna a los poetas!
China has suffered greatly from outside inteference for almost 200 years. And the people are lovely, sure they only come to your knees, think of all the things they've done to impress, sure there's cooking, (the hot meal),
writing and chess.
could a Tianamann Square happen again?
Well the US congress thought not October 29 2000, it's nice Irish descent library man, Mr O'Donnell was interviewed on the need to preserve the wealth of internet and cyber texts in the libraries of the West at least.
To which end he played a part in buying most of the pamphlets and so that had circulated Beijing before the "memorable moments".
"If the next Tiennaman revolt started today. . . , a much greater percentage of information created around that revolt would be electronic information. There would be e-mails and Web sites on all kinds of rogue servers-a challenge to the librarians of the next generation to hang on to it, organize it, and make use of it . . . ," O'Donnell said.

But then things changed,
Internet traffic to China was greatly restricted.
We know that
"Information wants to be free!"
be it in Northern Ireland, Wee Ulster flagland, China or Washington.
And so it goes for everyone, we do not seek to set a Fox amongst the Geese, nor to have entered the wood first and the bog last to bed down with any wolves in the year of the monkey.
So enjoy Nuala, friends of China.
she's sexy.
We enjoy all of you "china", from the writing to the cooked food to the resilience to the views of Kowloon, to the street performers of the "experimental industrial zone" to the golem warriors in Barcelona for the Forum, to the first time we use chopsticks, the first time we touch silk, the first time we realise that there have always been more of ye than us, and you really haven't treated us badly all things considered.
And we are ashamed of the attacks on your immigrants. And we believe you do want peace and prosperity and a place in the family of civilised nations.
And we @ least, have known you this last decade, and thank you for the hospitality.
tanks and guns and bombs and wire will not stop the Terrorist. So Say the Pres. of Syria today, as Bush adds him to the embargo list. & many old wise men. Thank you China for your Wisdom now though we can not forget your Barbarity then.
At long last the sordid affair of the arming of Taiwan with every possible intention of stoking one of the global nuclear flashpoints is coming to a court room near us.
the People's Republic of China claims jurisdiction over the island of Taiwan, and looks forward now as ever to the re-integration of the complete national territory of the Chinese.
And to be honest, they really didn't do so a bad job of re-integrating Hong Kong, Kowloon and the New Territories. And since the PRC are flavour of the month, let's support them a wee bit in their legitimate wish for territorial integrity.
I'm not going to tell much about this, but will direct your curiousity to today's communiqué by the CCSDN (commitee for national security France) in which it has declassified a part of the files relating to the death of a DGSE agent in suspicious circumstances.
The old "frigates for Taiwan" mystery is going to play out now in the courtrooms of France and Switzerland.
Taiwan is assisted politically and militarily by the USA. Supreme World Threat Wookie Bush has you will be re-assured to know, expressed interest in doing Taiwan at some stage.
Everyone is beginning to realise how worrying the idea of allowing the Supreme Wookie "do anything else" is, now.
¿aren't we?
as befits news on the activities of France's external secret service these articles are in french, the language spoken by the French and lots other people too. It's supposedly romantic.
the news:-

interview with René Imbot, the "C" of DGSE (admit it, you lot over in Eire "captain blue white and orange russet red land are more familiar with the british terminology) from 1985 to 1988.

In a gesture that could probably play a major catalytic role in improving bilateral relations, China has backtracked from its earlier position on Sikkim and given a clear indication that it recognizes it as an integral part of India. The step is vital as it also accepts the Sikkim-China border as part the McMahon Line, which was never accepted by China.
During the Prime Minister's visit to China in June 2003, the process was started 'by which Sikkim would cease to be in India-China relations.' The present recognition of Sikkim as part of India has been positively noted by the India Government.
of the limerick protest?
after lengthy preparations which saw tippy toppy airforce men of China jumping up and down on all types of cream cheese, the chinese have called off their Moon project due to lack of funds.
China is not a lactile nation, and it's space program has had to import the estimated 450,000 tons of Cheese needed to train the actors/astronauts to a level that they get past the authenticity tests when the final photo is taken.
