Solar farms are an ecological disaster. Birds frequently fly into them, mistaking them for water, while electrocution and incineration are common. But you won't hear about this in the mainstream media, says Chris Morrison.

It appears that the power used in the water cannon varied quite a bit. While some were just sprayed others were knocked unconsious, had ear drums perforated, were knocked off walls or knocked to the ground hard enough to break bones. Frontline reports seem to suggest it took them a few minutes to work out how to get a pressure hose rather then a sprinkle in the air effect.

It was a disgrace that they used a RUC toys.

And not to burst your bubble but it was on garden house pressure, if that thing was on proper the crowd would have disperessed in an instant, the smaller a2one`s on the RUC vehicles are more pwoerfull than that pressure, obviously did`nt have anyone to show them how to use some of that "Belfast Magic" that guy on UTv was tlaking about.

Have to say I was impressed by the crowd of people standing their round against the water cannon. The garda emptied one fully at the crowd without moving people, and probably used about 1/2 of the second one they brought up before realising that people were quite happy to stay and protest amidst the rain :-)

Which is why the riot police went in harder.
