category galway | anti-war / imperialism | news report author Friday April 16, 2004 22:23author by karen eliot Report this post to the editors

The stall on shop street raising awareness for Mary Kelly was at it again Last Saturday.
twow.jpg

Mary Kelly herself was at in person this time. Plenty of good responses and interest, not to mention donations. One market stall holder gave Mary a bag of organic apples (yum!). Plenty of leaflet were handed out. No doubt there will be a crew out again tomorrow for the whole day. Sorry for taking so long with this story - no access to photoshop + been away to West Cork. See website address under pics for more info......

"Mary Kelly acted to disarm a war plane and preserve the peace. Property is not sacrosanct."

"If the world had her conscience and courage, there would not have been a war in Iraq."

"The plane was part of a war of aggression and Mary Kelly sought to intervene in a symbolic way to disarm one plane."

"What Mary Kelly did was in harmony with the law and was trying to preserve life against US aggression. What she did was like taking bullets out of a gun."

Former US attorney general Ramsey Clark summed up Mary Kellys action very well in his evidence last year .
