event notice
Monday March 15, 2004 09:48 by Independent Workers Union (IWU) - Independent Workers Union (IWU) Baile Atha Cliath, Dublin

At 8pm, Tonight, Monday the 15th in the Larkin Unemployed Centre, North Strand.
Sorry for the short notice about this! With all that's happening at the moment, what with our 6-month EU Presidency, and the various protests, both Trade Union and others taking place against this, and a general upsurge in militancy and general discontent generally, we in the Independent Workers Union (IWU) feel that now is a good time after almost 3 years to formally launch the Independent Workers Union (IWU) with our inaugural Annual Delegate Conference in Cork on Saturday, April 3rd. Details of which will be posted later. To his end, the 1st meeting of the Independent Workers Union (IWU) Dublin Regional Area Members takes place Tonight, Monday the 15th at 8pm in the Larkin Unemployed Centre, North Strand. Amongst the business tonight will be nominations and motions for our inaugural Annual Delegate Conference in Cork on Saturday, April 3rd. We are asking all current IWU members in Dublin, as well as others who might be interested in joining us to come along tonight. We are also asking for somebody from the Indymedia Editorial team to come along tonight to report on tonight's meeting, and to perhaps do a feature on this, the future of the Irish Trade Union Movement. The same offer also applies to our inaugural Annual Delegate Conference in Cork on Saturday, April 3rd. All buses from Lower Abbey Street drop you outside the door.
Yours Fraternally,
Independent Workers Union,
IWU.
