McDonalds banned From Ennis?

category national | anti-capitalism | news report author Tuesday February 03, 2004 10:46author by David Report this post to the editors

My home town has up to now has remained blissfully free of the menacing Golden arches but there was always the dreaded inevitability of the Behemoth marching into our GAP free streets

The Mid western Health Board has objected to the planning request By Mcdonalds to build a drive through facility in the town citing the enormous health risk to children and the aim of reducing obesity.
McDonalds responded saying it "has always advocated the benefits of a balanced diet. The essence of a good diet is based on balance, variety, moderation and physical activity".

The Town council will make the final decision later this month.
