DAG, you're gonna have to chill...it's gonna get a lot hotter than this as we approach trial. If the Irish peace movement gets a little more militant, I'm sure we won't present such a visual problem to your prejudices. Let's hope there's a lot more to report in bringing this war to a grinding halt.

I certainly was not "getting a little hot under the colar", I merely pointed out that it was against IMC policy to post duplicates. The editors obviously agreed with me, because they then removed them.
As to your questioning my motives, I find your remarks bordering on the spiteful. It had nothing to do with "sectarianism, militancy envy or techno fettish".
Regarding sectarianism, In my working life I am in frequent contact with people of various backgrounds and religions, including Catholic priests and nuns. I have also been involved with various NGOs, and have many friends and contacts among people involved in the 'Liberation Theology' movement.
Regarding militancy, I have been deeply involved in republican and left wing politics since the 70's. I am not going to give all the details here, but I certainly have no reason to be envious of your degree of militancy.
As regards "techno fettish", we have all, including yourself, reached a certain level of competency with computers, so I'm not sure what point you were trying to make there.
Your statement: "I'm sure we won't present such a visual problem to your prejudices" is unfortunate. Someone with your prominence in the peace movement should know better than to accuse another activist of prejudice. I have certainly never made reference to your "weight, hair, your charactertures of us and our spirituality"
Who exactly will "have to chill"? You are the one who got upset at my questioning your posting of duplicates. I think you should stop taking yourself too seriously, I met you a few times and I have never seen you smile, you always look as if you have the weight of the world on your shoulders.

Your use of the word "holy ones" was snide (being snide especially on this anonymous medium with a pseudonym is basically a cowardly act).
The weight I have on my shoulders is not so much a maximum 10 year prison sentence with a probable 3 year likely.....it's having to fight rearguard actions against the snide, the mediocre, the resentful, those using this war as a marketing opportunity to posture and are not serious about reisting it or supporting those who are.
Instead of your techno-whinging you could have done what the eidtor did and request the original post be removed. But like so many others you seem to expend your energy on attacking us rather than the state facilitating this war.

I have been raising some of the underlying issues to y'all trolling...cynicism, snideness, resentment, mediocrity - all run deep in this colonised culture. Explains a lot how 100,000 imperial troops can commute through this land with little resistance.
If people have got a problem with us confront us, debate us. Being snide and cynical is cowardice..another quality that seems abundant. Turning the other cheek is proactive nonviolent resistance..the guy who has hit you with his backhand must now hit you with his forehand and acknowledge you as an equal.

My techno crime here was to add a report to a series of photographs, this enhanced the report. The trolling snideness didn't contribute anything to the report etc etc. Seems like the dude has a very anglo approach to the rules, fair enuff...misses the wood for the trees, obssesses with the medium rather than the message.

mAs soon as our action went down on Feb 3 moderates in the peace movement repeated the state propaganda that we were violent...so it's hardly the first experience of this stuff. Meanwhile the Garda press officer put out a statement rejecting such lies.
