'Eco-anxiety' affects 78% of children under 12, a crisis that teachers say they are unable to cope with, new polling by Greenpeace has found. The solution? More ruthless exposure of children to alarmist material.

Dangerous suspects apprehended

Photo of child arrest by Garda

A photograph of Gardai detaining an immigrant mother and child at Mount St asylum seekers registration office last week, description of the events witnessed and some thoughts provoked by the incident.
Our Garda Heroes
Our Garda Heroes

While en route last week from the Tax Office where he had just paid his taxes, to the National Maternity Hospital where he visited his newborn little girl who was being cared for there, Sdrawkcab witnessed how differently our State treats some other little girls.

As Sdrawkcab walked down the pavement minding his own business, a Garda "black mariah" van pulled to a hasty halt right before him and went down the short lane outside the asylum seekers registration office on Mount St Lower. There, a small group of motorcycle police and private security guards had surrounded the dangerous suspects pictured. While staff came out from the office to have a look, the mother, who was wearing an Islamic type veil, and her child were ushered into the back of the van. The whole scene took about ninety seconds.

Now Sdrawkcab has had occasion to view up close the perspex "box" which lies inside the body of a black mariah, and within which one may travel around the city as a guest of the nation if one falls foul of the Law. Suffice to say that it is not a nice way to travel. The police had helpfully explained to Sdrawkcab, on that occasion, that the box is for "Gougers" and that it is made of perspex (clear hard plastic) so that when the Gougers spit at the Guards, the spit will run down the inside of the box and not into the Guards' faces. Mindful of the fact that, under other circumstances, it might be Sdrawkcab's own little girl being put into the perspex box, and that the Irish taxpayer needs to see the realities behind McDowell's rhetoric, Sdrawkcab whipped out his camera and took a picture of the scene.

Whereupon a burly man dressed in civilian clothing, who had stopped on the pavement at the same time as Sdrawkcab, approached him, informed him that Sdrawkcab had himself just committed a criminal offence, and demanded to know his name. Aware that he had attracted the attention of the police, and not inclined to travel in a perspex box of his own, Sdrawkcab hurried off about his business, but determined that the picture should be seen by others. So here it is.

This is just one of hundreds, maybe thousands, of ugly scenes of discrimination taking place in our country each day. Indeed it is by no means the ugliest. What did this little girl and her mother do, what crime against society can they have committed, that justifies their ride in the little perspex box?

I don't know. But, if they are asylum seekers or ilegal immigrants, I imagine it was probably nothing more criminal than seeking a better life. Would I travel without legal documentation if it meant a better life for my little girl? Yes. Would I become an illegal immigrant if I lost confidence in the fairness of the asylum process in the country of refuge? Yes.

What lies at the end of their journey in the van? Arbitrary imprisonment? Deportation? Their family split up? The death of their dream of a better life? Or worse, persecution by their state of origin? Torture? Death itself?

I don't know. I hope it was just a case of a lost document, or mistaken identity, some minor regulation infringed. I hope the little girl is with her mother in a safe and homely place. And, dear reader, I hope you never have to seek asylum in a strange land where your children get treated like this.

The Crusade is obviously back with this Islamobhobia spawned by Zionist and Christian Right in the West. Did it ever go away?

I notice the Angelus was started by a Roman Pope to commemorate the Battle and massacre of Lapanto and the victory of Christianity over Islam-Ottomans. Isn't this like the Garvaghy Road Bigots and their triumphal displays of supremacy ?

Islam however is spreading and growing at an astronomical rate despite decades of black propaganda from the Zionist influenced sections of notably the American media and entertainment industry.

If the Crusaders were true Christians and followed the teachings and example of Jesus they would not see the Muslims as an enemy. They believe in the SAME God. Not similar, but the same One GOD.

But the Crusade has always been a propaganda tool of the greedy elite who have directed the invasion and theft of Muslim countries and Property for hundreds of years. It is to fool their own soldiers and people into believing they are serving a noble cause and not just being the boot boys of invading imperialists.

A cruel prank played on generations to get them to hate and kill their fellow man.

lads, dont forget the biggest slaughter since ww2 - Vietnam over 1.5million murdered, as carried out by the land of the "free". They dropped the highest tonnage of explosives EVER (yes even more then WW2 combined) in their 10 year genocidal campaign against the Vietnamese.
But we should be worried about the "mislims" eh??

Stop war. War displaces millions of men, women and children, creating millions of refugees who flee whats left of their rubble of their homes, countries and war ravaged cities. If you support war, you must be prepared to welcome an influx of refugees fleeing war torn countries.

The capitalist west portrays enticing plastic images of wealth/prosperity and the illusion of freedom to starving third world countries. Glossy MTV/McDonalds ads beamed into third world countries, sell the empty capitalist free enterprise pipe dream to the poor of the third world and eastern europe. An illusion of freedom that will never be theirs, for we do not tell them that the capitalist dog eat dog dream has many levels of human hierarchy, of which they will always be at the bottom rung of our society's the ladder. As they were begging in the war strewn rubble of their own countries streets for scraps and UN handouts, so they will be reduced to be begging in our streets for scraps.

Do not support the junta tinpot governments/regiemes propped up by our own capitalist big buisness multinationals and western arms dealers. Junta regiemes/totalitarian dictatorships/satellite states propped up and armed to the hilt by our own capitalist arms dealers. Who in exchange for oppressing and exploiting third world slave labour, agree to support militarily junta/totalitarian dictatorships such as those in Colombia, and other third world countries.

Interesting idea about there being NO refugees if there were no war. But it doesn't stand up well. You see, people are always going to want to move for any number of reasons. If the refugees were so happy to be away from Oppression at home, then why do they not move back, once their land has been changed. I have no problem with Refugees, I find them to be alot harder working than alot of Dubliners I know and whats more they don't complain. But there are always going to be bad apples in the group who are trying to exploit the new freedom they have aqcuired. Irrespective of whether or not a whole culture can be blamed for one small groups actions, people are going to do it. When you hear of the Nigerians who run the Forum Bar on Dublins Parnell street and take great offense to white men going in, you don't think about how its such a small minority, no the average dubliner reacts badly. The Government have provided plenty to these unfortunate people, I will admit not the full deal, but enough that its better than being in a mass grave. And then some of them are shown to be making huge profit from dealing drugs in our streets and FORBIDDING us from drinking in a bar. Reverse Racism I hear.

Besides the most important fact that very few people seem to want to accept, is that while War is horrible and tragic etc. It is necessary. It is a necessary evil. There are too many people on this planet. We do not have the resources to maintain the current 6 Billion of us, so we are gonna have to lose a large proportion of the population if we are to survive. There is no other way around it. Don't be fooled by anyone who thinks that we can continue to propogate and once we get rid of war or of western civilisation, that we will be able to feed everyone. Its a lie. Its not possible for this planet to maintain such a drain as the Human race is. Wars, help to cut down the numbers, as do Disease, and Famine, and natural disasters. These things are unfortunate and horrible, but they are what is needed for us to survive. Now admittedly I can say this in the knowledge that I live in a developed part of the world, but by my own belief in the need for war and a considerable reduction in the Human Race, I am well aware that I could easily not survive the next big population crusher as could a large proportion of my friends and family. But its something I have accepted.

One final thing, does anyone know who the people in the Photos actually were?? I mean for all we know she may have actually committed a crime and that is why she was being put in the van. I mean I have yet to hear anyone prove she was either innocent or Guilty and until we know the full details, it is rather redundant to post up anything claiming the government is soo wrong and she is soooooooo innocent.

Please provide us with details

I dont go into pubs much, mainly because of the cigarette smoke, but I had a couple of drinks in an African owned pub on the corner of Hill St a couple of times earlier in the summer, is that the one you are referring to?. I had no difficulties whatsoever, it was very friendly.
But I dont recommend Guinness, I prefer the Uisce Bheata.
If you had any problems from the management it was probably because you went out of your way to create problems, judging from the rest of your attitude.

this lie about 'no-whites' bars is a myth that does the rounds every so often on the saddo-internet-fascists' bulletin board. The forum is probably the only place in the country that they might be able to convince any non-knuckle-draggers operates such a policy. They are always trying to slip their pea-brained opinions onto indymedia under some laughable identity.

Not to worry though, the internet-saddo-fascists are not a threat - more of a comedy show. My daughter's under-9 hockey team would have them running scared. They're also hilariously guillible. You can post a message to their boards saying "all dem imigrints get rolls royces here in ballinispittle" and you'll get 20 outraged responses and not a doubter among them. Just cracks you up.

I meant on the corner of North Great George's St, not Hill St.
Anyway don't see why anyone should have a problem, unless they themselves cause it.
Hic.
