Enoch Powell alive and well and writing for the Daily Mail

and is not too far removed from 1890's "Punch" caricitures.

Also contributes to the Express. A few occasions whilst abroad I picked up one or the other paper and was mildly amused at the proliferation of sanitised middle class racism throughout these great bastions of Toryism.

The Independant picked up on it this week,

"The Daily Mail wrote: "Halfway across the world, where British troops were once again preparing to risk their lives in someone else's war, the timing of these symbolic reburials must have seemed like an obscene joke."

Hmm. Someone else's war indeed. If it wasn't for the artificial borders and states drawn up by 19th centuary colonists and wholesale plunder, pillage rape and murder carried out by the forces of the British Empire perhaps Africa and the Middle East would have evolved of their own accord.

Land of "priests, peasants and pixies" indeed. I am sick and tired of reading this thinly veiled racism. It's evil because it prevents people with similar social problems working togeather by creating a sense of national superiority which it uses any excuse to perpetuate.

They should stick to their usual fixation with their overpaid anachronistic little bunch of upper class twats and try, try, try to make people believe that the UK is something more than "just another country" diminishing in world importance with a plethorea of its own social problems.
