Major traffic jams Accross Iraq

category national | miscellaneous | news report author Thursday June 26, 2003 13:59author by Ringsbottom Trustintruth Report this post to the editors

Major haulage - 'refurbishments' - Blocked roads - Streams of workers - Public Perception

Will T.V. again turn its eyes to Iraq as the "rebuild" begins. Will the Massive equipment imported to dig founations and raise fallen walls ( . . . or screens), be advertised to distract public attention from reality (lack of) T.V. or will they gear up focus on impending war in Iran as public discontent thrives - encouraged under spotlights. The following is a short simple unsubstansiatable accusation I fear to be true and hope to be false.

Traffic Jams introduced the beginnings, and what better to start than the some total seemin result of our great modern free society. Debate rages over, back, inside and out as to whether the Iraqi people will see any of these great freedoms now or in the future. Then again (you sigh as you read . . . ) will it matter, for even then what freedom will be reality but the market in which they will be forced unto live free. Or even then is it public perception alone that counts for now? Surely in time the world will forget and those great freedom seekers can abandon their excuse and move to browner pastures. Or indeed are aliens set to land and is this this buit a ruse to launch a plot for a collossal helicpter pad. Right now none of this corncerns me much, for how ever treated I have faith in people's own determination and however long it takes they must and will decide for themselves despite injustice . . .

Unless, their own home soil becomes nothing more than a giant grave that not only stores but kills . . .

Not again is depleted uranium the focus here - that that if widespread enough, and is too much already, would be just as destructive is without doubt - but . . . yes old friend and enemy . . . sacred OIL. I leave you with a short story. I hope you'll read it, it may upset many, I know it's true, but I will not substansiate or support . . .

" . . . I was speaking to a 'friend' recently enquiring how the stay was going , if job, money, girls, life and general hapiness was winning overall. The banter continued - small talk, small talk, and yes he is quite a lovely lad to talk to, despite beliefs or lack of such, and such things are never raised. 'I'm coming home the end of June', is announced eventually, but I'll be away then, 'I may just be there soon after - mid to end of summer maybe after in Autumn . . . '. No use ' I'll be soaking up the sun in the proud deserts of Iraq. (?). Unexpected - though young and relatively new in his job I was trown back that foreign field work came so quickly . . . though young and new in the job luckily for me the toungue also began to flow quite quickly. 'All hands on deck!!!', is the case apparently. In the rush to 'refurbish' the trucks are being brought in alongside diggers pumps machines and tankers by the hundred. 'Major traffic Jams I'd say . . . at least around the ports . . . !', (good god they haven't got that capability, my brain secretly persues the thought but needn't all is easily revealed . . . 'been busy here too . . . preparing vaults - well less 'vaults' as such, 'tis a bit stong and cumbersome a word - more like substansial and secure storage areas. All of it is being scoured, there's quite a bit that's not been tapped yet.' . . . and what? All is to be transported back?' . . . I'd better go now, hangin' up time. T.V. or no T.V. reality may not come close . . .
