A handy checklist of things to bring to S.O.S.

· Donations of vegetables, grains, pulses or bread for Food not Bombs (the more we bring them the longer they can feed us) (optional)

· Large containers of water from your local holy well (optional)

· Tents and sleeping bags (optional)

· Musical instruments (optional)

· Digital, video and traditional cameras (optional)

· Love, creativity, imagination and an unquenchable desire to boogie down (essential)

How much do you reckon you could make on a bus to Shannon?
Would it be worth running your own one?
Or would that involve getting off your arse, leaving the petty commentaries for a few seconds, freeing up a couple of bytes on the newswire, and maybe using your obvious talents to try to get someting done?
Leave the ditch and use that hurley!

a CIE bus or Iarnroid Eireann train, which are run by a mainly unionised workforce, not a private company

organise yourselves to meet at a certain time and just head down there together, that way you dont have to give your money to any group that you dont like

I know. But the buses will not be so. It is a simple option, other then a bus with S(W)P members trying to sell you something. Dont want to get it, fine, dont. And i like my beauty sleep, thank you very much!

...I'm sure there'll be more than S(W)P types on the Dub bus. Bloody well better be. Other options? Get a carshare together or try cycling (and yeah I'm serious - weather's great!).

Not a bad idea. A cycle from Dublin to Shannon...
something to think about in the future...
