 Day 10 Don't know what happened to day 9 ... Day 10 Sent Thursday June 12 After our exertions in the morning, we rested. After lunch we headed off for the other road blocks in to Balata Camp. The first one was opened because somebody from the group persuaded a passing digger to remove it. At this one the Israelis had also broken a water pipe, when they created the block. The next of the blockades we knocked down with the help of the local Palestinians. With one knocked down by the Palestinians themselves, it means four entrances are now open. As we walked back we met a young boy, who had been hit by a rubber bullet, last night. He had difficulty walking. It should be explained that these are rubber-coated metal bullets, which often maim, if they hit in the wrong place. He had been hit in the side, and was heavily bandaged. I stay in the house, while others head off to do checkpoint watch. The guards are being really heavy, and the internationals take a while negotiating the release of several handcuffed Palestinians. In the evening we get a call from Palestinian UN workers who are stopped at the checkpoint. There is no end to the harassment. So to sleep Tony
