Prosecutors and judges targeted

The DHKC (Revolutionary People's Liberation Front) carried out a bomb attack in Istanbul on June 3, according to a statement issued the same day. A vehicle convoy of prosecutors and judges and their police escorts were the targets. The statement demads an end to prison solitary confinement which has cost the lives of 107 people and says further attacks will follow.

END ISOLATION!

Today we made use of our right to take retribution and carried out an attack against the prosecutors and judges of the DGM. Our sacrificial unit launched an attack at 0815 on June 3, 2003 on the shuttle buses carrying judges and prosecutors of the DGM along the coastal stretch at Bakirkoy (Istanbul), using a remote-control bomb. The shuttle buses which the prosecutors and judges were using, as well as vehicles of the police escort, were destroyed, and certain of the targets of our attack were also injured. The action was successful. Our fighters carried out their mission and are now awaiting a new mission directed at the next target.

The F-Type prisons are a means for US imperialism to get rid of the revolutionaries and the opposition in our country. This policy has been implemented by collaborationist governments in our country, acting in the name of America.
Since December 19, 2000, 107 of our comrades have been massacred in order to implement the F-Type prisons, a policy of the USA. Before the eyes of the world, and the eyes of the 70 million people in our country, our comrades have been murdered one after the other by gunshots, fire, forcible medical intervention and solitary confinement. No similar massacre has been carried out in living memory, anywhere in the world. It is a massacre that not even the occupying power America has dared to carry out in the countries it occupies, but it has been pursued in our country for three years in the most insolent way, using Nazi methods and a Nazi mentality. The collaborationist governments of a “model country” continue slaughter and torture in ways only they are able to manage.
The collaborationist governments have made massacres into a “solution” all their own.
As a loyal, neo-colonial country of the American Empire, it implements a “policy of annihilation against all revolutionary opposition forces” and commits massacres!
According to the vocabulary of US imperialism as well as the monopoly bourgeoisie, the system parties and the General Staff which collaborate with it, the stability of Turkey means the destruction of the revolutionary and opposition forces. Our great resistance has prevented them from achieving this aim.

It is the legitimate right of the oppressed to demand a reckoning from those who murder them.
Quite apart from our historic rightness and justification; it is merely necessary to look at the period since December 19. We have made use of our most legitimate right, the right to resist, and have died for it! Our resistance was a cry to end the deaths (translator’s note: in the F-Type prisons). But they did not cease, they carried on their massacre.
The government parties, the MGK (National Security Council), the General Staff and the media played blind, deaf and dumb when we presented our demands. As far as they were concerned they could pursue their policy of annihilation forever, as long as they could silence our voices and ignore the resistance. But they were wrong. The people could not be helpless. Of course there were other ways and means to make the deaf listen and the blind see.
Our comrade Sengul Akkurt fell on May 20 in Ankara’s Kizilay district while preparing for a sacrificial action; she summarised this period very well in the following words:
We were silent… silent for a long time....We continued our resistance struggle for a long time simply by putting our own lives on the line...
Our enemies interpreted our silence as weakness and lack of strength. Those who have no moral and political values left did not want to comprehend our silence while we were risking our lives. But with this attitude they forced us to answer force with force. They thought that our silence would go on in the same way that the government continued its massacres while they continued to shut their eyes to them. We were not the ones who preferred to use violence against violence. It was the AKP (note: Justice and Development Party, “moderate Islamists”) government that chose to do that, with the behaviour it has maintained up to now… For these reasons we are now exercising our right to take revenge. We will meet violence with violence. We are not the ones who preferred this route, it is the collaborationist AKP government, and they will be the ones who have to bear the consequences flowing from that (DHKC Statement 302).

The attack on the DGM prosecutors and judges is just one of these consequences.
WE ARE RENEWING OUR WARNING: END ISOLATION, STOP THE DESTRUCTION!
Otherwise we will not be responsible for forthcoming events and their negative consequences, the ones who are responsible will be those who do not end prison isolation, who continue the tyranny in the prison cells and implement the plans of America.

The DGMs, with their judges and prosecutors are part of the machinery of oppression in our country.
They are responsible for creating and continuing the harassment that goes on in the F-Type prisons.
They exonerate all massacres committed by the government.
They pardon all the torturers, death squads and mafia members.
They are a primary means of inflicting the heaviest sentences on revolutionaries and opposition forces without proof and using policies of intimidation. At present it is the DGM which in practice “threatens” all opposition circles with the “F-Type prisons”. It does not hesitate to use the flimsiest pretexts to put dozens of people in the F-Type prisons.
That is why we are targeting the prosecutors and judges of the DGM.
Our action is a warning to the DGM prosecutors and judges. Cease using the “law” in the service of a system based on torture, executions and slaughter. And if you know nothing else, follow the teachings of the classical jurisprudence that you were taught in university; do not hide massacres with the folds of your robes of judicial office.
Our attack on the DGM is at the same time an indication that all those institutions and persons who are complicit in the policy of oppression, above all the implementors of the F-Type policies, may also be our target.

All those who live in our country and are concerned with politics;
All those who stand for right, justice and human rights;
All those who feel a sense of responsibility to Turkey and its people;
They should make efforts to abolish prison isolation.
These two points should be placed on the current agenda of all persons and institutions:
Firstly: this problem cannot be solved with massacres, threats, bribery, censorship and force-feeding.
Secondly: silence does not resolve it either!
WE WARN THE GOVERNMENT AND ITS ACCOMPLICES, THE MEDIA:
Cease being implementors of imperialist policies and collaborators of America! End your sophistry and demagogy about terrorism, and resolve the problems!

There is no end of sacrificial fighters; those like Sengul will continue on their path!
