If you spent some of the time that you spend displaying your ignorance and prejudice on the internet in reading a little bit about Irish history, you would discover that many thousands of Dubliners died during the famine. Because of the potato shortage, urban food prices went through the roof, so working-class people on low wages were unable to buy grain or vegetables.

You would also discover something about migration patterns, from which you might deduce that the vast majority of Dublin people today are connected to families which suffered the Famine in places like Galway, Mayo, and Kerry. Of course, like yourself and myself, most of them are descendants, not of those who died, but of those who survived. (And perhaps even exploited those poorer than themselves in order to survive themselves)
