bankrupt shortly after I sold all my stock.

worst security failure in US history.

in US history.

In my first two years in office over 2 million Americans lost their job.

protest against any person in the history of mankind.

Dissolved more international treaties than any president in US history.

My presidency is the most secretive and un-accountable of any in US history.

Members of my cabinet are the richest of any administration in US history.
(the 'poorest' multi-millionaire, Condoleeza Rice has an Exxon oil tanker
named after her).

First president in US history to have all 50 states of the Union
simultaneously go bankrupt.

Presided over the biggest corporate stock market fraud of any market in any

Especially those along the line of "First president in US history to order a US attack and military occupation of a sovereign nation. "

That appears to me to be untrue so the rest of that information is now very questionable

(I'm not trying to defend George Bush)

but i have seen them on www.truthout.org (you know, yer man William Rivers Pitt's [War on Iraq - Or What Team Bush Doesn't Want You To Know]website). The facts themselves, come from some woman who did a study of bush or something. As liberal democrats, they would obviously turn a blind eye to some of US capitalism's proxy and 'unknown' wars. But far as I can gather, most of the piece remains true.

We get facts through research and investigation also tralling through archives, public record offices and libraries. I can understand why David Rhinehun would be dismayed that such facts are revealed but unfortunately for the likes of Bush, knowledge is power. It's easy to track a high profile twat like Bush and document his failure and misconduct.

On studying the graph, under Bushs regieme the US economy has plunged to an all time low. Hitler had a similar effect on nazi germany's economy. But as long as Bush profits himself individually, what does he care about the rest of the country.

Well you know Wars cost money, it was inevitable that someone had to pay for the War. It looks like the american economy is indeed paying for this war. Americans can be proud the Bush administration so generously bankrupted their country to help fight terrorism in Afghanistan/Iraq, even though this has had little impact on the terrorist network of alciaeda who are actually based in Saudi arabia.

Can anyone explain why it seems that just at the end of any given presidency (looking at the dotted lines), the thing seems to take a turn, either for the worse or better... Johnson, Nixon (barely) Ford, even Carter "Caught" a fall before he finished up, Bush, and look at the huge fall at the end of Clinton's regime... Reagan seems to be the only one who continues a general trend at the end of a presidency.

author by Albopublication date Mon May 19, 2003 07:50author address author phone Report this post to the editors

Hang on! If the dotted lines indicate the beginning and end of a regime, then why are they so irregularly spaced out? Each one should be 4 or 8 years long, yet Ford only got three, and the dotted lines are even closer... (only two apart!) What's da stawry loike?

but there are smart people pulling his strings. The enormous public deficit is not an immediate problem for the capitalists. The public gets the debt, the corporations get enormous defence contracts. The deficit is used as an excuse for slashing social spending while a culture of fear is created which blinds the people to what's happening and makes them happy to sell the kidney machines for rockets and bombs. It's classic reaganomics. The same people are running the show now as were in Reagan's day, doing the same things and still getting away with it. Maybe it will ruin the capitalist economy in the long run, as some leading capitalists, like Greenspan, fear. Or maybe it won't: the Reagan administration hardly ruined the landscape for corporate capitalism. What is certain is that it will transfer a lot of wealth from the poor to the rich, and after all that's what it is designed to do.

Albo: the uneven spacing of the dotted lines is caused by the different lifespans of the various adminstration. We get
LBJ: 1.5 terms (first term started when he assumed presidency after Kennedy was shot)
Nixon: second term curtailled by impeachement, replaced by vp ford who was not re-elected.
All the other presidents served either 1 or 2 four year terms in full.

Is that supposed to refer to me?

If so, what's your problem?

Because somebody doesn't believe everything they read (even from such a reliable source as an anonymous post on indymedia.ie) and asks for a little bit of clarification on sources should not leave that person open to childish ridicule

author by Slick O shoulderpadspublication date Tue May 20, 2003 22:12author address author phone Report this post to the editors

The unequal spacing is equivalent to the length of term/period of time in office of each president. The spacing corresponds to the different lengths of time in office of each different president. I hope thats cleared that up and taught you something, I know graphs are hard for a person like yourself to interprete.

As a slick power dresser I like to get my 'facts' from reputable sources like Sky news, the daily Express and The sun. My advice is don't believe everything you see on independant media. Listen to reputable sources like Rupert Murdoch, he has the best interests of ordinary everyday boring guillible plain jane and joes at heart.
