So you have found a quote of me talking about Yiddish music (Google is great) - I'm at a loss to see why you care two hoots about what kind of music I listen to. Thing is, I also have CDs and tapes in Irish, Spanish, French, Urdu, Cree, Portugese, Arabic and German. Apart from my tastes being a little on the experimental side I don't have a problem with talking about music with anyone, though such an exchange would be more appropriate to email rather than an independent news site!

But if you're trying to suggest that speaking favourably of a Jewish band (I'll pass over your ignorance of klezmer and its absolute lack of any connection to politics) makes me biased in terms of editing duties on Indymedia, then you have crossed the line into la-la-land. It's beneath your dignity and indicates a desparation that I'm surprised by. I'm sorry you feel this way but I don't think anything I write is going to convince you otherwise. The only reason I'm responding to this feeble dirt-digging is to try and move on - so you can return to writing about important things rather than about me and I can quit having fruitless conversations with you.

McKenna is ethically and reasonably right - in stating that even if the intention was to satirize - the satire was not constructed with a dillegence sufficient to avoid the Trivializing the murders of both thousands of Palestinains and the IDF murders of those Americans and Europeans who have been willing to risk their lives to report those Israeli Government sanctioned murderers.

I would very carefully craft any satire for instance, on the murder by American soldiers of Iraqi children - in protest crowds, After the Americans were supposed to have Freed Iraq.

I don't accept it was ever intended as satire or that you "Derek" have any feeling for the Palestinian people or you could not write this after the murder of those people yesterday. I am a strong supporter of the right of the Palestinian people to their own state. I am appalled by the crimes committed by the Zionist racists since 1948. The murder of the young Palestinian child was a monstrous crime. My article was an attempt via sarcasm to express my anger at the atrocities being committed on a regular basis in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.
