I think it was very expected that Saddam would not fully comply with Americas threats. (And they WERE threats). If only America could have waited a few more months, or even weeks, ALL the bloodshed on both sides could have been avoided.

There will only be a solution when all those people who will side with Peace maintain a distance from all the warring factors and work with and only for peace itself. We must deny there is any validity, ever, to the atrocity of war -- whether it is expressed by national armies or by terrorists for these are the antithesis of sanity.
All war is atrocity.
