I wonder if this is a spoof? If not it seems the 'pro-liberation society' are only for the liberation of some. Not much of a surprise there but it reveals that behind the spin of their name its the same old blueshirt politics.
For international readers, Irish Travellers are an oppressed ethnic group here who are traditionally nomads (although many have now 'settled'). They are subject to all sorts of racist crap here, including attempts as above to limit where they can live and to impose quotas on how many can live in particular areas. I think they kind of do exist but are blatently not the sharpest tools in the box, (no halting site of campus??). Their reasons for supporting the war were ludicrous, revenge of Sept 11th and other such idiotic things.
