Jump To Comment: 1 2 3 4I agree, i think the president of the U$ deserves some fairly big protests where-ever he goes.
Ill be there with me red flag to greet him shouting that hes a prick and general ass hole.
Well what can you say, if he is going to land on this soil next Summer we should do something about it. I know that he is the most powerful prick in the world and he has the best body guards that man can buy. He still is flesh and blood. I'm sure a few carefully placed bullet holes would bring him down. I am sure alot of people have the same view and i am sure that we will be there when he barges in to this Land.
Everyone in the Irish Independent is clearly delighted as shown by the glowing article on Friday, 15th Feb 02… Bush's attempt to thank us poor little neutral Irish for our "emotional support" in the aftermath of Sept 11th is pretty dismal.
The journalist also states that among American presidents, Bush "is the first to have shown a real interest in Northern Ireland."
The article also states that Me Bush is "enjoying unprecedented support because of his war on terrorism."
Is this the message we want sent out in our country, to make people feel this visit will be a good thing? And also this business of PUBLISHING the "fact" that Bush is supported in his war on terrorism is not only biased and inaccurate, but also complete transparent propaganda.
Those of us in opposition to Bush and all he represents must make our voices heard, we must shout equally as loud as this "lead story" in the Independent, in order to make the people aware of BOTH sides, before they sit back with their cup of tea and newspaper and think sweet thoughts of what a nice man that Bush is for coming all this way to say thanks.
I totally agree with the above comments. If Mr. Bush does indeed grace our soils this summer he needs to be given a welcome that he wont soon forget. It is definately not the message we want sent out in our country and people need to show their opposition.I'll be there and I'm sure I wont be alone!
