****AWAKEN, ARISE, GO FORTH, AND TRADE LOCALLY.****

All interested are invited to the launch of a new Galway City LETS
(Local Exchange and Trading System), to take place on Friday, 11
April, from 7-9 pm, in An Gabhar Órga (The Golden Goat), on
Newcastle Road in Galway.

Refreshments will be served, and organisers will be present to
answer questions and discuss the structure of the system.

Questions? Ring Somhairle on 086 397 1244, or email Maírín Ni
Churraoin at [email protected]

**What's a LETSystem?**
A LETS is a locally-based barter system in which goods and services
are exchanged for a unique currency that is only valid within the
system. Every registered member of the system has an account where
her transactions are recorded. A member earns credit by providing
goods and services to other people in the system, and uses his
credit to get goods or services from them.

The LETS is about *local* exchange (we can use it to keep our wealth
local, to use what we make and do to meet our own needs) and can
build community and increase social capital.

For further information, ring Somhairle on 086 397 1244, or email
Maírín Ni Churraoin at [email protected].
