amazing news
invigerating to see.
but this state of emergency in Italy
is that to protect the nation against terrorist attacks or to give the police more powers to deal with protesters? (he asks honestly trying not to make the question leading)

Bertlesconi must envy bertie and his tame swp/sp labour and sf and their Choreographed and ineffectual protests, instead of the real left that exists in Italia

everyone is busy doing something.
so internet uploading translating is lowered.
this can often be a good sign.

Spain has begun its 3rd week with Gonzales the ex-president attacking Aznar on the political front.
"he is unfit to put himself for election again"
arrests are down in Madrid but it was very ugly.

Barcelona was very tranquil. The state of Catalonia and the city council oppose war.
4 occupations in Bcn and cacerola nightly.
strikes happening all the time.
an open consulatation for the people was opened in all of Spain and parts of Italy.

The BCN city authorities have met with groups involved in organising protests and well
cards are on the table.
an envelope was opened.
Most of the experienced here see the mobilisations in terms of 2001 when we stopped the World Bank meeting there is for the moment that sense of "cohesion" and interplay.

how to communicate it to the outside world though is something many in Spain, Catalonia and Italy are unsure of.

we are very aware of what is happening differently in other countries.
and lots of ideas are bouncing.
which is how it always happens.
