How the U.S. prevented Iraqis from ousting Saddam

Zoltan Grossman in Znet argues that Fleischer's statement 48 hours prior to invasion made it clear that the USA was going to invade no matter if Hussein was removed or not. He sketches the history of imperialist intervention and suggests that this will be a long intervention.

Max, I get the feeling that you do not comprehend the nature of some citizens objections to the "extention of flight facilities".

Is it your contention that the Almighty Third Thesis is some sort of Absolute Cosmic Truth?

If so, you are clearly daft.

It is a relative policy decision that could be altered according to overriding moral/ethical concerns.

Longevity does not confer Sacred Essence.

People held firmly to the "eternal" obvious truth of slavery for centuries.

Though there was an economic incentive to keep the nonsense alive in the case of slavery.

Hmmmm...perhaps there is an incentive not to offend Massa' Yankee?

Anyway ,It is possible that the Almighty Third Thesis in morally wrong in this situation.

The Government was democratically elected by the people of Ireland

The position as outlined by an Taoiseach was clear.

1. The Government does not support the war in the absence of the 18th resolution.

2. The Government recognizes the best way to solve the issue is through the UN.

3. The Government will continue to extend flight facilities to the US and other countries as it has done for over 50 years.

It is simple; your are only interested in turning the issue into a political foot ball.
