Dude drop the gun and people won't be so scared of you and you won't be so lonely anymore. The advice is free. Security is found in love and justice not what you're packing. Maybe you could pass that on to the Bush administration when you go to pick up your next pay cheque.
A small vigil was held outside limerick prison for the returning karen fallon last night. Annoyed by na gardai.
Now everyone from SB down to anyone who fancies taking those idiots who fucked up the peace protest in Shannon knows what they look like. You people REALLY have got to start taking security on this website seriously.

The Pit Stop Ploughshares appeared in Ennis Court, Co.Clare. Nuin and Karen were brought in from Limerick Prison; Deirdre, Damien & I were up early to sign on at Garda stations (I had my cabbie wave the fare from Ballyfermot to Pearse St. in support of our resistance to this war!)
On arrival at Ennis we formed a circle in the car park remembering the life of Rachel Corrie murdered by the Israeli military and U.S. equipment in the past week. We prayed for friends in prison for resisting this war and friends in Baghdad under fire. We remembered the people of Iraq under fire, B-52's were taking off from RAF Fairford as we gathered.
We were arrested by the Garda and charged with another count of criminal damage - to the hangar window. Asked to make a statement to the charge I responded "We went to Shannon Airport to stop a crime not to commit one. That crime of death and destruction is now unfolding over Iraq. Our activities at Shannon Airport involved no criminal intent or acts. Our action did not involve damage to property - that is proper to or enhancing of human life". This was later read out in court by the detective.
Representatives of Air Rianta then attempted to serve more injunction paperwork, we confronted the rep with his corporations complicity inthe ongoing massacre. We refused to accept the paperwork and the injunction.
The prosecution continued to stall. They continued to be evasive about the damage estimate (still not released after 6 weeks, claiming some dispute; between who?) They finally admitted to minimally 500,000 euro damages (sic).
The Pit Stop Ploughshares had consensed to pushing it towards a jury trial (raising the stakes in terms of possible punishment, but an opportunity to put this act of conscience before the conscienceof the Irish people)
The Judge responded surprised that the prosecution were not pushing the case to a jury and ruled against them. He stated that he wouldn't accept jurisdiction over the case.
Our next court date is May 2nd. A trial date will be set around July 1st.
Karen was returned to jail she has been suffering from a massive migraine (with little medical attention) for the last couple of days. She remains as resolute and inspiring as ever DON'T JUST DO SOMETHING - STAND THERE!
Nuin was released and we took her to a West Papuan concert at Manooth as a celebration of deliverance from the State. Inspiring to witness the culture, song & dance of the West Papuans who have survived another U.S. sponsored genocide. Hothouse Flowers were pretty good too! As the evening progressed news came through that 350 crusie missiles had been fired into Baghdad in the space of 3 hours.
Text messages from John of the Dublin Catholic Worker & friends doing a small vigil at the U.S. Embassy accompanied by 2 car loads of Special Branch & 2 car loads of Garda.
Why do all these people wear such funny clothes? If I were in charge they'd get a midnight knock from the Fashion police.
Cos he's gorgeous!
Why a big photo of Ciaron O'Reilly in this piece?? Bit of cult this crowd, with him at the centre.
Just as well because very few gave a shit! Glad to see her out.
