Thursday March 20, 2003 20:00 by Karen Fallon Limerick Prison
The reaffirmation process By locking up your body they think to lock up your mind - but they are in a prison of their own making while we are truly free. Limerick Prison, Mulgrave St., Limerick. 12th March. Prisons within prisons – Karen Fallon By locking up your body they think to lock up your mind and dampen that “passion”” which so offended by having the audacity to take a stand and say “NO” to their lies. Watching the farcical war on Iraq unfold from a prison cell whilst being held by such a government does not deny yur freedom, it intensifies it. Blessed are the Peacemakers – for we shall lock them up! |

I just did a seven month stint in 23 hr a day lockdown, one man cells, 24 hour lights, irregular mealtimes to keep you off balance- and this is the new norm in american corrections. you're allowed three books a week (better pick thick ones!), & two outgoing pieces of mail a week, legal or no. And this was in a fuckin county jail, not the state pen- the penitentiary would've been easier time. I did a lot of push ups and a lot of jackin off to catch that extra second of sleep.
Bottom line- anyone who creates instiutions that treat humans like this- the sick fucks in corrections tech who sit around all day and dream up ways to make inmates miserable- not to mention the scumfux who pay their salaries and bureaucratize/trade in human suffering- all deserve to be unceremoniously shot in the fucking face... summarily. Sorry, but no matter how you rationalize it/sugar coat your time, Karen. we'd rather have you out, about, and running around.
Oh- and who are you, anyway?
Better to protest and be in prison than to sit at home drinking tea and dreaming of Bertie!!!
To Ciaron O'Reilly,
Could you clarify your remark about the Green Party cop/beaurocrat trying to break up your march. As a Green Party member I would like to know exactly what happened.
Simon
Solidarity greetings to you and your comrades.
Well, when you have paid off the damage you have done to the US navy and by virtue to the Irish People, you can come back. Personally I wish you were suck there for a few more months. Keep you outta my face!
You're in the right place at the right time Karen ....we had to police ourselves at the Dail today (bevcause of the bail conditions we signed on to), as these bureaucrats sold out the children of Iraq.
Even had a Green Party cop/bureaucrat trying to break up the nvda...one thing not to have the guts to resist this war...another to sabotage the folks who are trying.
One Love Karen along with Kathy, Charlie, Jo, Michael in Baghdad you have invested in the reality of this war...the rest of us have been pretty much reduced to voirism.
solidarity
Ciaron
'stone walls do not a prison make, nor iron bars a cage'. But you've been in there long enough. At this point you would be more valuable outside.
