From America: A voice for many people I am a college student in America, who is against the war, Our gov't doesn't listen to our pleas of peace... Many of us here in the United States dont want this war, its truely immoralizing when your leader doesn't listen to its people of his own country. I am still looking for a reasonable excuse for this attack against Iraq? Please Keep up the protests, MAYBE HE'LL LISTEN TO YOU.... Peace and love from the States |

Jump To Comment: 1Though it the U.S. who are dropping the bombs, Ireland is complicit in this action by its facilitation of U.S. planes using Shannon airport in Ireland, and by its (i.e. the governments) general support of the U.S. in this war.
The vast majority of Irish people have been against this war in the absense of an approved 2nd UN resolution and of the use of Shannon airport in the absense of this resolution.
All of our elected representatives are debating the issue all day today. I have not heard the result yet, but the government will easily win the vote to continue the use of the airport.
They do not listen to the people they "serve" over here either.
"Democracy" in its current state does not work right across the globe.
And it will never work until such time, among other things, all citizens have equality.
Something has to change before there is nothing left to change.
