British Royal visit to Dublin a disgrace and an insult to Six Counties

category national | miscellaneous | news report author Saturday March 15, 2003 18:43author by Ailin Report this post to the editors

Recent reports say that over one million Euros of this states taxpayers money will be spent by Leinster House politicians in an effort to clean up the areas that the British Queen will be visiting in Dublin shortly .

That it takes a visit by so-called 'royalty' before those residents see an improvement in their area is a disgrace, but to use Lotto money, which will no doubt deprive some state minister of a new tarmac drive-way, is worse...

However, the most important objection we have to Mrs Windsor's visit is the fact that she is titular head of a government which claims jurisdiction over six Irish counties - for this reason, Republican Sinn Fein will be holding a picket on O'Connell Street Bridge in Dublin at 5PM on the day of the visit . All are welcome to attend .
