most of the below stories are irrelevant to ireland, most of the below stories are irrelevant to ireland, and are rehashes of either rabidly pro-zionist or pro-palestinian sites. i'm pretty sure everyone reading this site reads zmag, and counterpunch, and reuters and the guardian. we all get e-mail forwards of statistic and the like so lets save the news wire for relevant stuff like eoin dubskys post |

Yeah it is a bit annoying, but a) it is called 'open publishing' and anyone can use it, b) that's a good thing c) it is the internet, there are no borders in cyberspace.
also d) someday IRL-IMC will have new backend publishing system where editors can categorise posts which will will help things be more relevant, uncluttered and without censoring - if you like this idea, then people should join the tech-mailing list and get involved.

Yeah all the very general stugg on Palestine posted to the newswire (from both sides) has just served to drive out Irish material. Some like the appeal for photos for those arrested at the Shannon direct action are pretty important.
There is nothing wrong with Irish indymedia including Irish material written about Iraq,. Palestine etc but the simple multiple reposting of very general stuff that can be got elsewhere is simply an abuse of indymedia.ie.
