This incident occurred after the TGWU moved against Mick.
Union boss set for return to old role
SACKED ATGWU union chief Mick O'Reilly is expected today to accept an offer of reinstatement, but with a condition that he may not apply for his old position as Irish regional secretary.
Most Irish officials are expected to black the two top positions which will be advertised later this month. Last summer the union's full-time officials voted for industrial action to force the reinstatement of Mr O'Reilly and Belfast union boss, Eugene McGlone.
Last week the union's appeals committee agreed to re-engage both men on their previous salaries and to pay them back-pay since they were sacked last May.
