 A demonstration by Residents Against Racism will be held at 1pm at the Department of Justice, Stephens Green. This is a call for support......
Attacks like these will continue to occur until the day comes that we say enough is enough. In this period of Governmental/Tabloid hysteria it's time to reflect on the real issues that warzones or oppression create. War and oppression causes displacement of civilians be that in Yugoslavia, Ethiopia, Nigeria or Iraq. The real victims of war or oppression are always the displaced victims who have no home to return to. Residents Against Racism are organising a protest outside the Dept. of Justice in solidarity with those who have chosen to settle in Ireland for whatever reason they choose. Unfortunately a lot of these migrants face day to day racial abuse just because they differ somewhat than this islands inhabitants. We call this demonstration in solidarity with all those who are facing Deportation orders or are at risk of the same. In the last week our so called Government has unleashed an aggressive attack on those who have chose to settle here. Over 300 deportation orders have been issued by the Dept of Justice in the last week contrary to European Laws on migrants. As such in this International Week against Racism we call upon all interested parties to support us in this demonstration and make it as big as possible. I believe that it is only in demonstrating our solidarity against racism that we can send a message to those who wish to oppress us all.Under the umbrella of Residents against Racism I encourage all to attend regardless of political persuasion. This is not a party political issue I welcome all those who are opposed to racism or such like to affiliate to this protest and look forward to your contribution. If you have any suggestions as to how to make this as large as possible please contact us or contribute to this thread.... The message must resound...All are welcome here.. cead mile failte....

It is comments like this that fan the flames of racism in this country. Irish people should know better than most of the effects of racism.
Who in this country has not themselves or know of one of their family had to work abroad for economic reasons - should the dispora of 140 million Irish be spent back here?
There are more Irish people working in Nigeria than there are Nigerians in this country - should they all swop places?
Its about time that the residents of this country stood up against racism.
I for one willbe attending this demo and I will be contacting my TD and local councillors to attend.
Irish people get sent home from the States all the time. What's the big deal? Every country controls it's intake of immigrants, it's what managing an economy is all about.

If it was a case of sending someone home to face a death sentence I would be concerend, but I don't think there are any cases like that at the moment.
As a Jew, I have suffered anti-Semitic abuse on this site a number of times. My question is: does anti-racism also apply to bad treatment of Jews because they are Jews? Or are Jews a special case who deserve bad treatment?

Actually you cretin, my political views are very much left of centre and I abhor all forms of racism including anti Semitism. I also abhor war criminals like your boss fat man Sharon. You on the other hand are one of his supporters. Your attempts to defend the indefensible are so ludicrous that if the Israeli embassy are paying you, you should in conscience apply for your P45. BTW have you heard of fat man’s latest ethnic cleansing episode (the Bedouin in the Negev,) now unlike yours truly, fat man definitely is a racist bigot and you support him, I am sure that even using your twisted logic, you will eventually be able to work out the rest for yourself.
