Wake up world, listen to Rich, stop Bush's aggression now! No appeasement for the U.S. regime.
greg
Atlanta city-state, North America
In 1938 Neville Chamberlin declared peace in our time after he recieved promises from Adolf Hitler not to invade more european countries for the Aryan living space. Hitler had spent the last five years since his rise to power rebuilding the German war machine whereas the other eurpoean powers such as France and Britain had desired a more peaceful world after the horrors of The Great War and so did not logically respond by building up their own forces to counter Hitler's agression. Chamberlain's policy of appeasement did not persuade Hitler to stop his expansion of the Nazi empire but rather was an encouragement to continue. When Hitler invaded Poland it was too late for deterrance to work. It was time for the Soviet Union, Great Britain and France to fight back. However France folded up like a deckchair even though military historian's have found evidence that France had numerically superior forces and weaponary. In 1940 France could have halted Germany in its tracks but were too weak willed to fight. The British Army bravely fought on so that the bulk of them could escape Dunkirk. Meanwhile the Soviets under Stalin were more concerned with delaying the inevitable while culling the best of its army officers for fear of a coup against the tyrannical Stalin.
America were complacent about the outside world and it was not until 1941 that the consequences of isolationist policies meant that both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans would be ruled by the Japanese and German navies. China with the largest population was in danger of being overrun by the Japanese. All of Europe except for a bombed out Britain barely clinging on and Western Russia were under the rule of the fascists.
The ONLY way for the America and Britain and the Soviets to defeat this agression was by the ruthless use of armed force. Millions died but ultimately the Nazism, Fascism and Imperialism of Germany, Italy and Japan was crushed.
At present the only countries in the world willing to fight the tyranny of Islamic fundementalism and Rogue states such as Iraq, Iran, Libya, North Korea, Cuba, Venezuela, and the tin pot tyrants of Africa are the United States and Great Britain. The former Soviet Union now called the Russian Federation is fighting the extremeist Islamic fanatics in Chechnya with the same overwheleming ruthlessness they fought the tyrannies Nazi's and Russian allies even by summarily executing civilians.
France and many of the nations of Europe have decided to side with dictatorships against the America and other free countries who support the war against terrorism and tyrannny. They are so deluded that they reject pleadings with Iraq to see reason before even the Iraqis do!
The only way to defeat tyrannical regimes such as Saddam's Iraq is by WAR! if we do not take a stand against the undemocratic and anti-freedom countries of the Arab world then they will unite and attempt to destroy the freedoms we possess such as secularism, freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom of movement, freedom of assembly, freedom to own one's own property, women's rights and basic human rights.
The United Nations security council was designed so that countries would unite to safeguard the freedoms i have just mentioned but now the majority on the council have chosen not to do so any more! That is why the heroic Bush has taken upon himself to defeat tyranny just as Roosevelt and Truman and Churchill too fought tyranny.
You say war is not the answer?
You haven't the luxury to say that!
Good on all of those true Irish patriots who stood up to the modern-day roman empire of the u.s. I wish I could be there with you both then and now. FUCK all those war mongerers, bollocks' republicans, and every other piece of shit that wants war. Not in our name and not in our country.
An Irish citizen, who lives in America.

As I read the story, I became concerned the the end result will be more devistating than the action. This could result in some severe legal restraints, something the Irish don't need at this time. Your struggle to become a complete nation, under one government, YOUR OWN, will take longer with the possible restraints in place. The economic risk, for international tourism, is even more of a problem.
This action should have been thought out, from these prospectives. I hope that my concerns are not warranted, but I feel extremely nervous for your country, over this action. I visited there many years ago, and encourage people to see the place for themselves. It's a beautiful place, and I enjoyed the people, I hope this action doesn't keep people from coming there.
It is clear Mr. Bush would have like to go to war long ago. It is also clear that Mr Hussein has probably built more than a few weapons that he should not have just like America, Israel, North Korea and all the rest. Currently it looks like there could be a nuclear fall out in the globe instantly.
This raw fact is deeply saddening. What does the solution look like? To me the Irish activists laid out a plan through there actions. We need to understand what those actions symbolized. First to me it symbolized the difference between true government by the people and people controlling the action of the government. From what I have learned Shannons airport was not to be utilized of rmilitary use. The government did not make this policy a truth. To me the government and administrators of the government lied to the people of Ireland. The amazing event that took place not only showed the American military and corporate powers that people power is the truest power and it is.
The actions to dismantle and in fact destroy the tools of war were an event that truly should not have happenned but it was a natural and correct event based upon the fact that the Irish government made a large error in lying directly to the people of the country.
The Iraqi people have suffered and the globe should send in a collective of medical relief workers, scientists, cooks, munipality repairers and participatory democracy builders if the Iraq people would want to go in a healthier direction. We need to move past the institutions of this globe and develop a method for all to live work and exercise beliefs.
The Irish activists took the extra step to move past their government for that I thank you. The people who decided to raise their arms against machinery and systems instead of against humanity made the correct decision and hopefully reminded us all of the power of a few.
In Peace,
Pete

Sounds like it is we the people struggling mostly against the fascists (corrupt police, republicans corporatives, corrupt leaders) and the communists (red block).
What a mess, I think the people will win out in end.
The white block contained the people who participated in the attempt to pull down the fence
The pink block contained those who wanted to show solidarity with their action but for whatever reason did not wish to take part
The red block contained the Trotskyist parties who did everything they could to undermine the action.
The blue bock is the pigs.
Stop participating in it.
(thanks to Noam Chomsky for this idea)
It is impossible to fight a war on terror, when you yourself are the terrorist.
Huge thanks to the Irish protestors!!!
Keep it up lads! (and gal's).
Iraq means to destroy everything we have - and by that I mean freedom of speech and thought, _FREE_ speech and thought. The same freedom that allows demonstrations like those reported on this page. The people of the middle east are in desparate need of freedom. Yes it is arrogant of the US to assume the people of Iraq need to have the chance at a democratic society, but is it better they live under a repressive regime?
Did you ever think the reason we stayed out of the middle east politics (and remained off shore) so long was because we had such a great oil trade going on? Why would we screw that up? As long as we got our energy who cares what they were up to? .... well, not anymore. We don't need a UN / world consensus to do what is right. And you heard Powell, all monies from Iraq oil will be held in escrow for the Iraqi people. How is that wrong? The reason Iraq citizens arein such dire need is because of the leadership of the country. Saddam and his regime must go! Any dissenting country can go F themselves, we will take our trade elsewhere (yeah, you France you pansies), and defend ourselves against anyone who wants to harm the US.
Excuse me, Miss or Mister de boyho
or whomever you may be.
My previous posting was a sincere
question regarding the designation
of "pink," "red," and "white" blocs'.
Unfortunately, you (de boyho) decided
to respond with a disgustingly racist
slur; thankfully, God's grace has
blessed me with unlimited patience.
I signed my previous post "ignorant
american" because that is what 99.999%
of americans' are; be sure to catch
the upcoming broadcast of "married by
america" (pardon me, I digress).
de boyho, I take great offense to your
statement that the dire problem of
crime in american cities is the similar to
attacking Japanese cities with nuclear
weapons and the american goverments'
imperialist rape and slaughter of Vietnam,
along with almost every other country
& people of this world. Without question,
it is the social, cultural, racial, and
cold war ignorance of the american public,
along with our television programs, that
is the muderous warmongering culmination
that is george w. bush and ths u.s.
government.

p.s., My ignorance is a result of my
american citizenship
and NOT the colour of my skin; those who commit
murder and crime are present in every human
community throughout the world!!!
right on, kids, i'm proud of you
Read the writings of the great American patriot and officer Smedley Butler and find out who the real "useful idiots" are.
http://www.lexrex.com/enlightened/articles/warisaracket.htm
WAR IS A RACKET ......
PS: Smedley Butler served his country not like the cowardly draft-dodging chickenhawks of the current US administration who use American citizens as cannon fodder for their own plutocratic ends like the feudal lords of medieval Europe .......
Check out the military service record of Bush and his cronies .....
http://www.angelfire.com/ok5/pearly/htmls/gop-chickens.html
Yeah too true we are aggresive volent bastards ........ but funnily enough we never engaged in nuclear massacres in Japan or napalm-assisted genocide in Vietnam ... how I wish I lived in a peaceful, law-abiding suburb of New York like the South Bronx ....
Would someone be kind enough to
explain to me exactly what is the
significance of a "pink" bloc, "white"
bloc, and "red" bloc is.
Is it a pacifist alternative to the
"black" bloc?
Signed, ignorant american
I would like to believe that everyone in this world has some inkling of good inside of them, a little glowing gem that can be saved from within the darkened poisoned exoskeleton with which they act out their daily lives. But after what is in some cases decades of brainwashing by government-regulated education, and an urging to be satisfied with what they are spoon-fed, I can't even pretend to be surprised by people who think that the United States' militaristic, imperialistic demonstrations of power are alright.
Tell me, what will war solve? What has it ever solved? Should this war begin, it would be the spark that would light the flames of intense racism and a new worldwide war of religions. Anti-semitic violence is already on the rise in North America, and the treatment of Middle-Eastern immigrants in the U.S is reminiscent of Canada's treatment of Japanese immigrants during the Second World War.
Rather than throwing up our arms and saying "this is simply the way it is, war is necessary", I say we try and change things, dammit! After all, aren't happiness and love the two things we spend our lives seeking?
all of you protestors are "useful idiots." think about that for a second. through violence, you are hurting your cause and the media is just using your injuries and your death to make money. people are making money off of your stupidity. if you were smart enough, you would try to enforce change through political means. instead, you take pride in destroying private property and in getting the U.S. military "out of your airport." i guess this is not surprising since you Irish have a history of violence. and for those of you who think that the western money being spent on war could be used for social programs- where does that logic take you? how does that make a war unjust? any money not being put to good use could be spent on social programs. the money it cost to pay for law enforcement on your violent protest days could be going to education as well. as for !no war! get real and read some history books. history repeats itself- look at the pacifism that led to the rise of hitler. do you want to wait until sadaam is even more dangerous and funds even more terrorist attacks and organizations before something is done? something needs to be done with dictarors like hussein, n. korea is another problem, but we have to start somewhere.
I would like to send a warm, loving thank you to the Irish protestors who kicked the U.S. Military out of their airport, and to the Irish Peace Movement in general. Please know that we here in the U.S. are aware of all the suffering you have endured there at the hands of the British and even at the hands of your own turncoat sisters and brothers at times, working against their own people, sabotaging the struggle, etc. Keep up the resistance!!! In the words of Che Guevara, Hasta la victoria siempre (forever until victory)!!! WAR ON THE WORLD? NOT IN OUR NAME!!!POLICE-STATE RESTRICTIONS? NOT IN OUR NAME!!! DETENTIONS AND ROUND-UPS? NOT IN OUR NAME!!!
Let me just quote Abraham Lincoln...
"This country, with its institutions, belongs to the people who inhabit it. Whenever they shall grow weary of the existing government, they can exercise their constitutional right of amending it, or their revolutionary right to dismember or overthrow it."
FIRST INAUHURAL ADDRESS
I would just like to thank all you great citizens of Ireland for accomplishing a massive feat in stopping the warplanes in Shannon. You are truly great citizens of the world.
As for the gentleman "blue block". I'm not sure what medication his doctor has overprescribed him but I wonder where is sanity is when he sees the harassment and intimidation that come from the police, warmongers and the military. Does he not realize this is about rich corporations (oil and weapons in particular) using our hard earned tax dollars to wage war upon us to make themselves richer, so that they can buy up more of our governments, to take more of our freedom, to make themselves richer? I would like to ask Mr. Blair how much he is getting paid to sell out his people for the oil kick backs he'll be getting; then ask him how he expects to spend it once he triggers a world devastating nuclear war. Our enemies are not the people of Iraq. We are all the people of Iraq, the people of the world. Our enemies are the corrupt and vile whore like leaders of the world and the corporations who have bought them. This is the sinister fascism of what is going on. This is what we feared from the Nazis and Mussolini in WWII. This is the true enemy to the world, the true enemy to people.
What is disgraceful that this person who goes by "blue block" perhaps to undermine the blue block is a traitor to his people. He is a traitor to all mankind. He has a perception so perverted that one wonders how could he not see the paid minions of the corporate governments in their body armor, carrying their weapons dressed like Nazis and storm troopers with their tanks and their bombs, a disgusting rabble who have sold out their fellow citizens, their families and men and women for a salary threatening and bullying and beating and arresting these great leaders these great protestors.
The way this nut case talks it seems as though these great citizens of the world these protestors have to suffer at the hands of mad men like himself.
I hate to break it to this gentleman but he doesn't seem to see the irony of his statement "force of order". What is a "force of order" but a wicked oppressive regime that takes our freedoms and our rights and our dignity? I look forward to the day when men like this who have hijacked our freedom, hijacked our planet and hijacked our lives to meet the same fate as the Nazis who in in their likewise sinister fascist ways tried the same.
I am glad to see that people around the world are standing up for their rights. As international corporations work with varying governments to enhance profits and control, something must be done to protect the intrests of families and people. The health of the environment and the lives with in it are more important than the simple gadgets provided by industry. Buisnesses would only like us to think we need technology in every aspect of daily life. Truly the greater purpose for technology is the enhancment and evolution of our species and not to fill the pockets of power hungry decendants of kings.
The good people of this earth should thank these brave folk for doing what's right, for taking responsibility for the well-being of others by taking matters (and power) into their own hands.
You're an inspiration and a fine example for others. Direct action does indeed get the goods...
Frank
a huge well done coming at you all from mendocino, california. people everywhere must take a stand against this complete insanity. people of the world unite, down with the corporations.
Our U.S. TV and print media is so censored here, I could not get stories like this one about your protest except on Free Speech TV or Pacifica radio. Support for this war is diminishing here, as it is in Europe. We need to up the protest here to more civil disobedience like trespassing on military bases. A lot of activists are very afraid to do that but it will have to happen, after the bombs begin dropping. Pray for US citizens to have the courage to take back their government.
- no war today
Bush will hopefully wear one of those ankle bracelets that identify his location and assist in his house arrest, like the one worn by Orlando Bosch, a terrorist friend of the Bush family who lives in Florida
I understand Tony Blair's wife, who is a lawyer, told him that he and Bush would be war criminals if they went forward with war on Iraq. America needs to have its troops back home; there is a corrupt administration afoot.
Thank You Irish Protesters!

Sorry for not using my name on that first commet Mr. Bush
All people of peace, thank you for preventing the proliferation of an unilateral agression. You have set a beacon to advocates of life around the globe.
I'm writing from Seattle. Just wanted to thank the Irish protestors. Thank you! Thank God you put respect for human life above "respect for private property."
No, but Western governments are spending a heck of a lot on preparations for the Iraq war. Money which could be spent on various social needs.
direct action gets the goods! keep fighting, nevermind the bollocks posting here!
"stealing al the money"????
Tell me more, first I've heard of it.
there'll be a lot of changes boyo.
There won't be any foreign planes using the country against what the Constitution says.
There won't be any corrupt politicians or judges or businessmen stealing all the money and then saying there isn't enough to keep hospital beds open or pay teachers.
It is disgraceful to see the Intimidation and harassment that the fine Members of the Garda Siochana were subjected to by this file disgusting rabble.
Respect goes out to the fine members of the force who kept their heads and failed to yield to the provocation which they so clearly suffered at the hands of the so called "protestors".
I look forward to the day when the force of law and order, and respect for public and private property will return. No doubt that day will coincide with the demise of people like these "protestors" who have hijacked the just cause of world peace for their own sinister anarchic means..
SHAME!
