We should retaliate and organise boycotts of all crap american products e.g. McDonalds etc etc would be one suggestion COPENHAGEN (Reuters) - Ardent backers of U.S. policy on Iraq have rubbed the "French" out of French fries and turned a cold shoulder on German tourists. Florida politician Burt Aaronson is campaigning against all things French - even the all-American French fry, which he wants renamed the "freedom fry". Others have risked their revenues to back U.S. President George W. Bush, and express their annoyance with France and Germany for opposing his hawkish stand on Iraq.

Americans will only respond when their financial interests are threatened. A boycott against American goods and services can be effective in influencing U.S. foreign and domestic policy. For example, a boycott of the U.S. State of Florida, which makes a lot of money from European tourists, could be waged against the state's death penalty and also the U.S. war on Iraq. Tampa, Florida is presently the home base of operations for the waging of the war. Florida is also one of the homes of Disney a tourist mecca and a cultural export of America. Furthermore, Florida is also the state controlled by Jeb Bush who was instrumental in the what led to the judicial coup in December of 2000 and the subsequent installation of President-select Bush, his older and less intelligent brother. There are many pros and cons to a boycott. However, it's success will only come with a good try.
If you're going to play with fire you have to expect to get burned. It's the American's right to do as they choose. After all we do live in a free market, capitalist economy and democracy. Or have you noticed?
King Mob, you can't be serious! What do you mean it's America's right to do anything? In the expansion of their country did American's have the right to commit genocide against the aboriginal peoples? The right to invade Canada twice, invade Mexico, steal Hawaii, and the Phillipines? Does America have the right to invade, bomb, and kill just because they are capitalist and have some type of corporate controlled representative government? I think not!
As for the ridiculous comment from 'kokomero'
"Before I wasn't gone on the idea of a politically strong Europe......"
The majority of the new Eastern European candidate countries support the USA in its globalisation drive and also in the coming war, so France and Germany will simply be outvoted by the pro US/UK countries in your 'strong' new EU.
For the amount of left wing loonies of the world who make little or no money and complain about everything and anything, their boycott rhetoric is laughable. Sure most of you anarchists could not afford to buy much in the first place. Maybe you should boycott Microsoft and turn off your computers and do us all a favor.
