Which torch are you alluding to, perhaps its one which is used to burn dissidents in North Korea? This person was a cheerleader for the great Kim and the Paradise on Earth in North Korea.

I fully expect the people of Ballymun to take to the streets for a month of mourning and wailing, just like when Kim Il Sung died.

And just wait till Garland kicks off ...

I knew Sean and whatever you think of his politics you will have to travel far to find a more committed activist than him. He will be missed by all who are involved in fighting capitalism and clss struggle. A tireless worker for the people of Ballymun, he never ceased in his efforts to fight for the rights of the underdog. Most IMCers have probably never been in Ballymun let alone tried to build a working class opposition to the shit the people their have to put up with.

I admire his loyalty to the WP through thick and thin even though I don't agree with their policies.

Sean was an activist and spent all his time working with and for the people of Ballymun, Ireland and the World, the working class Sean had no home but the struggle.

Seán will be a tremendous loss, not just to the Workers' Party, but also to many thousands of people in Ballymun and beyond.

If all his detractors can do is to throw mud after his death then so be it. Genuine people, and I know that many outside of the WP are included, are shocked at Seán's death.

Also thanks to John O'Neill for his comments. While being still in the WP I know that John recognises how important Seán was in his own right and is prepared to put petty point scoring aside.

working for the International Working Class by supporting Kim junior in North korea? This isnt about supporting them against US Imperialism, the WP have fraternal links with Kims Workers Party.

So we can only take it that Sean supported the repression of the Working Class of North Korea.

Will there be an Official IRA firing party? They used to be a pain in the neck to me but the stickies are ok now.

I do not agree with the Wp, but the guy is dead and these gouls glorying in his death have sunk to a new low, even for trotskists. I suppose the little middle class shits above will fully support Bush when he goes to war in the near future against their hated 'Kim' and the people of Korea.

Indymedia has sunk yo a new low. Can this offensive prattle not be removed? I also don't agree with the finer points of WP politics, but he was a tireless activist for the working classes.

Before people post claiming he is in hell and other pureile bollocks, can they bear in mind family and friends of his (esp. those overseas)may be reading this, and it won't help their sorrow and grief.

A bit of respect for a recently dead, life long socialist from Indymedia is not unreasonable.

Opposing an US Imperialist attack on Korea is fine. Supporting Kims regime and the repression of the Korean Working Class is what St Sean did.

I was quite sad to hear abot Sean's death on Saturday, whatever you say about the guy...remember he had just come back from demonstrating against imminent World War Three - he can 't have been THAT bad !!!

Chirac is also against the war. Should we howl in the streets if he dies?
