Was this an attempt by Mr Noonan to seem as popular as Mr Aherne

Michael Noonan while out campaigning in Boyle Co. Roscommon today was the recipient of a ceremonial pie in the face.
Has this become a hazard to be faced when campaigning in the North west of the country?

I only heard late this afternoon that Mary harney was in Limerick, but they didn't say where.
