Osama, Saddam, Powell and those new tapes

category national | miscellaneous | news report author Wednesday February 12, 2003 03:00author by ollie - Katalyzer Report this post to the editors

Al Jazeera get a tape 'of poor quality' with 'Osama' on it...Powell has a transcript in advance...strange. Osama goes on about Iraq : he says things like 'Hide in deeply dug trenches'...US shouldn't bomb Iraq' Powell claims this is proof that there is a link between Saddam and Osama. However ,it turns out ,the good people at 'democraticunderground.com' have saved earlier (ie a few hours ago) reports of the transcript...and in it, Osama claims the Iraqi people should rise up and overthrow Saddam! Judge for yourself: truth used to be the first casuality, but now truth is a permanent casuality in the endless war on terror ,so I ,like just about everybody else, doesn't fully know what's going on...

I'm just waiting for Prince Charles, Bishop Desmond tutu, Bob Geldof, Ralph Naider, Michael Moore , Anita Ruddock and, naturally ,the Pope to move to/holiday for a while in the Iraqi capital to make it impossible for bombing to begin...

he's basically shit-stirring as far as I can see. The tape could be real but he doesnt like Saddam (see quote) and he just wants to scare the Americans into going to war. Its exactly what he wants and they'll rise to the bait, then it's 'US vs Muslims' and we're all in trouble. But I reckon Osama thinks he can win somehow...

Al Jazeera has just launched their english language pages. I told you they would the last time a video did the rounds last year, I remember quite disctinctly telling you that would mean a good supply of videos.

When I worked in a bookshop of Charing X Road one morning all the shops recieved videos and computer disks with "CIA file Roswell" on them. Very nice labels. Anyway these disks were filled with viruses and did most grevious harm to a days trade on the traditional bookselling street of London. The videos were poor quality snippets of what appeared to be... I bore you.

Proof positive of the links between France and Osama bin Laden, I'd say. In fact this shared viewpoint tends to suggest that Jacques Chirac and Osama Bin Laden are indeed one and the same person! And has anybody noticed that al Qaeda and La France have almost the same number of letters?!?

No wonder that those cheese-eating, surrender monkeys aren't playing ball, "al Qaeda" is actually a cunning cypher for "La France"!

Now we know what Joey Starr was talking about when he said "paris sous les bombes"!

Powell you genius!

Osama Bin Laden turns up and helps them out. Of course Osama is an old friend of the Bush clan.

Colin Powell says this is proof positive of "strong links between Iraq and Osama Bin Laden". Osama also gave the death kiss to the Palestinians by claiming to support them. Not that Israel needs any justification for its campaign of ethnic cleansing on the West Bank and Gaza.

We were told definitely, by the CIA that Osama Bin Laden was dead. Now, Christ-like, he is resurrected just when old George and pals need him. Still it keeps the boys with the computer simulators happy.

In addition to that, the tape seem to suggest that Osama is supporting the people of Iraq and not Saddam himself - it could be just that he hates Saddam less than George.

Even if the tapes are true, all they do is confirm what was predicted by the CIA and BBCs Panorama - that aggression by the USA on Arabic soil could unite the two enemies against USA....

The statement is indeed from Osama bin Mohammed bin Laden.

Contained in the statement is the following proof that Osama is NOT supporting Saddam or his regime.

"It doesn't matter whether the socialist (Ba'ath) party or Saddam disappear…. And it doesn't harm in these conditions the interest of Muslims to agree with those of the socialists in fighting against the crusaders, even though we believe the socialists are infidels. For the socialists and the rulers have lost their legitimacy a long time ago, and the socialists are infidels regardless of where they are, whether in Baghdad or in Aden. ..."

unfortunately. And after having Ralph Nader and Anita running around for a few days the Iraqis will probably be calling in targets.

But, I just saw an ad with a talking horse in it, it looked so real. Does that mean I shouldn't believe these tapes?!

I think that tape needs to be evaluated by impartial experts. I listened on NPR at 2:00 pm they said Powell knew of a tape but the editor of Al Jazeera didn't know about it. Then at 3:00 pm eastern time Al Jazeera said they got the tape. In the meantime, George Tenet, head of the CIA agreed about an exsisting Osama tape. Maybe they are just flooded but when I went to democraticundergroung.com just now, I couldn't get on. There is CIA written all over these tapes!
