(This is in response to Ray's "3" points in the newswire page:-

http://www.indymedia.ie/cgi-bin/newswire.cgi?id=28411

I wont get into all this here as I dont have the time but I very much disagree with your above points, esp points 2 & 3. Obviously indymedia are the editors and thats your choice but I will take this up with the full editorial team at some stage in the future and will check with editors in other indymedia countries in the meantime.

I will just add that the importance of reminding people to email everyone they know on things like this must not be underestimated (and I didn't just remind in seclusion, I made an article out of it, albeit extracted from elsewhere) And As with anything in life, one should never "assume" that people are automatically going to do it. And finally, the importance of broadening the general "movement" is second to none.

Roll on Saturday!!

Your 'article' contained a few lines telling people to e-mail their friends, and a copy of an existing article. People aren't stupid (though I can think of a few exceptions), and they don't need to be told how to use their e-mail. Even if they did, there was no reason for a new article on the subject. The Comment function is there for a reason.
Anyway, I don't really care if you agree or not, I'm going to treat any future messages the same way. There's an indymedia meeting this Saturday at 12 in the Ha'penny inn. You can come along and argue about editorial policy there if you like.

I can't believe you're still posting this worthless bullshit everywhere you go.

Would you ever get off your fat arse and post some news or orginal content?

No real point us arguing on this one as we are probably just going to end up disagreeing, as our general philosophies on things are quite different, but I think thats good for healthy debate and sure thats where what the dialectic is all about!

I will only add that I would stress the importance and precedent of any postings that pertain to "action" as against to postings that pertain to "information". I am not underestimating the importance of the latter but the newswire is choc a bloc with postings that pertain to information, many of which are going over the same ground and dissapear down the newswire very quickly.

Thanks for the invite on Saturday, and thanks for putting my posting on as an attached comment rather than deleting it entirely!

And I respect how tight ye are for space, where your genearl philosophy is coming from, and your decision as editor to delete my posting.

I think indymedia is doing a great job and has my best interests in mind at all times.

Best regards...

Thanks King Mob. Now that I know you are a fucking phsychopath from your comments against me and others, you are a good cue to judge my view points.

So thanks for your comments above, for if you are disagreeing with me on anything then I know I must be on the right track.

Cheers again.
