The meeting was brilliant and a great turnout too, and I know lots of other people who couldn't make it, but will be up to Dublin on the 15th.
Wow, 230 people. Anyone got any idea what the population in the region is ? The fact is most people don't give a fuck and the idea that you can you have any influence on politicians is ludicrous. They will do what they want and won't pay any attention to a few crusty hippies and some student wankers. It will all be forgotten in 6 months never mind when the next election comes around.
gubu obviously you don't have much experience 200 people meeting in galway is huge. For every one going to a meeting there are others with the same feelings who haven't bothered. And every one who goes speaks to friends and family etc. You shouldn't be so cynical I haven't heard of a meeting that big in galway ever.
