Joe says No! - an online collection of antiwar graphics and stuff

Joe says No! (www.joesaysno.blogspot.com ) is a new website which is collecting together some of the funniest, prettiest and most inspiring of the antiwar graphics from around the web, as well as providing comment and links on the upcoming war...the aim is to demonstrate the creativity and sheer range of people opposed to this conflict and provide links for people to get more involved.

It seems that Deputy Higgins of the Socialist Partry is getting quite a following. He even has his own "Joe says No!" website set up. And he got the loadest cheers at yesterdays USI demo against fees. I hope the SWP dont feel like they've been by-passed by the Rise of Militant in the past while.

As for who is by passing who, it is a good question. I dont know who ran away faster from shannon the SP or the SWP? Both wasted no time in scarpering

The SP have grown excellently and have an active youth wing which is recruiting people by the new time and offering a solid vocal oppositional group for young people to voice their anger at war and capitalism.

They have only been around for a while but have gained a name for themselves among youth.

The SP itself has grown a good profile as decent honest community activists in many campaigns working alongside other groups. Their party may not be perfect but it is respectable and hardworking.

Joe says No! is NOT made by anyone associated with a socialist ANYTHING...it's made by some middleaged english anarchists who have dragged themselves out of political semi-retirement to point out that nobody except oil barons, vote hungry lapdogs and rascist reporters actually want this war...I know, because I am one of those middle aged pot bellied world weary anarchos...

Isn't it amazing how so many people, who don't belong to any organisation, come on here to praise the SP?
Wow, they must really be getting through to 'the youth'.

Maybe Ray it is because we do good grassroots work, actively involved in local campaigns and have a good record with people. Ever think of that?

Is it unfeasible for you not to envisage this, rather than try and lessen that post by idle paranoia and too much time on your hands?

Karl whoever he is welcome to his opinion and as an SP member I thank the guy.

I don't generally comment on socialists, but I do throw in the odd angry article,so don't confuse me with the above jeff, please, for the sake of my own ego and flair.

As the SY protest on Wednesday 5pm at the Central bank showed, the SY are really reaching out to the youth and pulling them in. I think all 15-20 people marched up to the Dail, the march being comprised of SY members and a couple of their friends. There were more pigs than millies? Well done on the great work SP. Stop praising yourselves for nothing. When you do actually pull something off then I will be more than happy to congratulate you.
