The militarisation of protest has always been an option for authorities in Ireland.
It has often been one of the easiest option for those who clinged imorally and unwisely to power that had already gone.

Power is about perception.

It would be most foolish of the Irish authorities at present in Dail Eirinn to consider a militarisation of Irelands problems social or poltical especially when the issue at heart would appear to be a non-constitutional involvement by the Irish state in War.

It would seem most ironic indeed that a government whose members thoughts on the introduction of internment are still at hand, are still sitting on spools waiting to be raised yet again, is now considering the uncivil placing of our armed forces at Shannon.

I do not play chess but I hve learnt not to play it untill one sees checkmate.
