The Israelis have had a nuclear programme long before Saddam Hussein, guess who supplied the expertise and nuclear materials. Given who is in power in Israel, I would suggest that the author of the above piece should be even more worried that he already is. The Israeli dissident who spilt the beans in the Sunday Times soon found that his Government did not want anyone discussing their nuclear programme, he was kidnapped in Rome and is still in an Israeli jail. The Egyptian president, who could not exactly be described as an enemy of the U.S. (possibly because he had received billions in aid) clearly believes that Israel is a nuclear power which is why he has refused to sign the relevant treaty.
