'Tony Blair is a Coward' says Pilger. What would he call Biffo the Hawk? A Craven Coward?

category national | miscellaneous | news report author Thursday January 30, 2003 00:42author by z Report this post to the editors

To call Blair a mere "poodle" is to allow him distance from the killing of innocent Iraqi men, women and children for which he will share responsibility. He is the embodiment of the most dangerous appeasement humanity has known since the 1930s. The current American elite is the Third Reich of our times, although this distinction ought not to let us forget that they have merely accelerated more than half a century of unrelenting American state terrorism: from the atomic bombs dropped cynically on Japan as a signal of their new power to the dozens of countries invaded, directly or by proxy, to destroy democracy wherever it collided with American "interests", such as a voracious appetite for the world's resources, like oil. When you next hear Blair or Straw or Bush talk about "bringing democracy to the people of Iraq", remember that it was the CIA that installed the Ba'ath Party

The Baath party came to power in several levant and middle east countries with assistance from Americans, British and French post war policy.

Originaly socialist in nature, the Baath pursued a transnational arabic solution.

Syria and Iraq were tobe the foundation of a block of inter-related countries.

Saddam hussein became a monster.

The delineation of the Baath block as pariah states can best be understood in contrast to the treatment of Nassarism (post Suez) and to a lesser extent the isolation of Qhadaffi and Libya.

Admit it you mostly know didlly eye squity shite about the Baath vision.
Does that matter now?
well yes, because Baath activists and ideologues will emerge again along with nassarists and fundamentalists and regionalists once Saddam and the whole look alike clan is done.

I doubt that either Donald Rumsfield or C. Rice know much about the flexibility of Baath politics either, so don´t expect explanations in your media.
