Time for Congress to Exercise it's Power to Temporarily Consign Bush to an Inebriate Asylum!![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() "Drunkenness as a habit is one of the most degrading forms of vice which can result from the enfeeblement of the moral principle by persistent self-indulgence. Without perhaps appearing in public offensively drunk, the only remedy would seem to be the power of temporarily consigning them to an inebriate asylum."--Encylopedia Britannica, 9th Edition (1877). Bush said, "We do not conquer and oppress people." Wrong! 1.3 Million Palestinians in the occupied territories, under curfew and encircled cities, where any resistance is lethal. Guess what? We fund it; we oppress/we conquer. Bush said, "Saddam wants to dominate the Middle-East." Oh, okay, the answer is then for us to dominate the Middle-East/World? Bush said, more than once, "God is on our side." Actually, he (or she, as the case may be) isn't. As a Catholic, I subscribe to the just war doctrine, then it is clear God is not on our side. What Bush DIDN'T say, not once: "We will bring democracy to Iraq" What he did say, "We will liberate Iraq." There is a world of difference. There is a bright spot. Anyone who has worked for justice in Palestine, knows what bastards the Israelis are. God forbid someone should Nuke TelAviv. They would not go down alone. The Bastards would send some nukes to the continental U.S. within seconds. If you doubt this for one second, you've really no experience in dealing with them, or their mainstream representatives stateside. Vince Writing from the Land of the Free where, The United States is the only industrialized country that has not ratified CEDAW (the Women's Rights Treaty). By not ratifying, the U.S. is in the company of countries like Afghanistan, Iran, Sudan, Syria, and Somalia. |
