Your a bunch of dickheads. Why the fuck are you defending some crappy castle, I want a motorway there it will mean that I will be able to drive to work quicker.

You are wating everyones time, if you were really political activists you would be getting involved in some real struggle such as the building workers, bin tax and against the war. Of course you hippy bastards probably support bin tax and the war in Iraq. Hippy fucking bastards, you will all be in the Labour party and in suits by the end of the year. Get jobs you bastards

You're unique take on the whole situation will undoubtedly convince all us pinko lefties and hippies that, hey, motorways are more important than heritage, profit more important than people.

How could I ever have been so stupid as to think otherwise. I mean, imagine opposing the construction of a motorway through the remains of a castle that has been there for 500 years. Let's burn down the National Museum and build a new McDonalds in its place. I'm off to vote for Fianna Fail.

Philip, without you, I and many others could have lived our whole lives in ignorance. You're intelligent, reasoned argument has opened our eyes to the folly of our hippy existence. How can we ever thank you.

Phillip, why are you so abusive about the term Hippies. Any hippies I ever knew were humans just
like everyone else. You seem to reduce them to some kind of sub-human status. What's your problem?

As for the Carrickminders, I think they are a great bunch of people and they are doing a great job.
Without them, this piece of Irish hertitage would be long gone, courtsey of our great corrupt elected
councillors and TDs. The motorway was never supposed to go through this site, -it was the funny goings on
with the Jackson Way properties, which has now proved to be a totally fradulent and corrupt affair that
led to the plans being changed and the motorway wrecking this site.

You go on about hippies, but you are strangely silent on the crooks responsible for this destruction.
You also say they should get a job. This seems to be the only meaning people should have according to
your way of thinking. Most people hate their jobs, because they are meaningless and serve no purpose other
than to continue the madness of our consumer crazy society. What these people are doing probably has far
more purpose than most 'jobs' and I would say a lot more rewarding.

YOU'RE the 'dickhead' Philip, and you can't even spell correctly! (Re:Your the...!?) Go and get an education before you start slagging off the great work that has been put into saving Carrickmines Castle from the corrupt bastards in this country. Yes it's the NRA, Dun Laoghaire-Rathdown County and others, who I will not name, who are the bastards, not those trying to defend the castle site. Have you ever thought that the parts of the motorway that are finished often resemble a parking lot, so what's to say that you would get to work more quickly anyway!?

You know nothing about any of us. Your comments are unconstructive and designed only to insult.
Obviously from your comments you think people can only do one thing at once. But not Carrickminders. Due to our magical superpowers we are capable of doing... more than one thing. Oh yeah, you heard it here first. Most of us hold down jobs/ go to college, go to anti-war protests, workshops etc. and defend the castle, among other things.
So in future keep your comments to yourself if you have nothing useful to say. Thanks.

Hey Carrickminders,
probably you don't need to be told that "Phillip" was just one of our trolls trying to liven things up: I mean, how could anyone take what he said seriously?

Building _another_ motorway is going to cut commute times? Yeah, right. When the M-whateveritis around London opened it was gridlocked within hours. We're spending more and more on motorways so that people can get to spend longer and longer sitting in traffic. A recent report puts the average speed in dublin at 5mph.

If you want to get to work fast "Phillip" then leave the car at home and get on a bike.

The Castle is worth preserving and even if it weren't there's little excuse for a new road.
