The Cheap Talk of Emmanuel Macron Thu Mar 06, 2025 12:37 | Noah Carl
Macron claims that Russia is an ?existential threat? to Europe. Yet his actions belie this. France has given Ukraine 12 times less aid than Denmark. And it's still importing billions of euros of Russian energy.

The Gaping Holes in the BBC?s ?Boiling Spring? Story Thu Mar 06, 2025 09:00 | Chris Morrison
The BBC has run a story claiming UK spring temperatures are up 1.8?C. It's alarmist agitprop straight from a Green Blob press release and it doesn't check out when you look at the facts, says Chris Morrison.

Why Are We Funding Arts Council England?s Woke Nonsense? Thu Mar 06, 2025 07:00 | Charlotte Gill
The Javaad Alipoor Company is a theatre company with a woke "nine-point manifesto that drives everything we do". Inevitably, the Arts Council is stuffing it with taxpayers' cash. Why do we fund this crap?

I'm not surprised you are sending others to die for capital in war. I'm not surprized you have already ignored 300,000 strong demonstrations in Britain. I'm not surprised you will never read this letter.
It's what you do after all. Your job is to keep order and allow the corporations to make money. And the oil corporations have their eyes on the oil fields of Iraq and the middle east.
It's your job to send young working class British men and women there to die and kill for oil profits. It's your job to order the repression and imprisonment of other young (and old) men and women who try and stop them by blockading Fairford and other military bases in Britain. It's your job to do so in a way that pretends you offer an alternative to the tories.
I am surprised that so many people who should know better believe you might be an alternative. I am surprised that they think writing you a letter will make any difference. The wheels of war are in motion, they can only be stopped if WE stop them - YOU for reasons that are obvious will not.
The one thing Tony that might stop you is consideration of the risk you are taking. Not the risk of military defeat - that is hardly on the cards given that you have the atom bomb and they do not (to paraphrase Kipling). No I mean that other risk, the risk to your corporate masters.
The risk that 300,000 willing to march might become 300,000 willing to act. You must hear the rumbles, tiny though they may be. A couple of train drivers refusing to transport munitions here, a couple and their dog walking down the runway at Fairford there.
What if that sort of thing was to catch on. It would take an army to stop 300,000 marching through Fairford and tearing up or down every military installation there. You have an army but will they shoot down British 'subjects' with the willingness they bomb Iraqi people from 10,000m.
And once underway would that army of 300,000 stop at the far edge of the airbase. Might not they march on to other bases and other issues. Might not they decide to have done with airbases, war and corporate rule alltogether? Of course they could not do this alone but you are a small elite standing on the shoulders of 50 million people. What if it caught on and all 50 million turned to action?
So Tony, this is not an appeal to you. I don't believe appeals can stop the war. It's more of a warning or perhaps a promise. In sending others to fight this war, you, Bertie and Bush are lifting your masks. The world is watching. Perhaps you are starting something that the worlds people will finish and in doing so they will finish with you and your system.
No war but the class war!
Maybe Pat Rabbitte or Roisin Shorthall might write to their comrade Tony, seeing as they're all opposed to the war now (until the next private poll tells them that people are more concerned about something else, at which stage theyll drop the anti war stance like a hot snot)
Well Paddy, thats pretty much the way it is. 'course the way to play the game is to keep these self serving political muppets convinced that this IS what people are concerned about. In the meantime- as long as they're on our side we better get some good work out of them.
SO LETS GET THE WHIPS OUT AND MAKE THESE POLITICAL MUPPETS DANCE, remember they work for us, not the other way round, lets get our Euro's worth of political swing out of the fickle self-serving bastards.
Pointless
Can someone explian what role Wimpy little Bertie could take?
Why even mention him in the same sentance as the warmongers?
What possible bearing could this little pissant country and its backward comical clown government have on such a serious issue.
Get real.
Maybe De rossa and the other labour creeps could also write to all the European social Democratic parties that they kept bullshitting us that they were affiliated to during the Nice referendum. In particular the spanish ones, and with particular attention to 'socialist' Javier Solana former Nato General sec and now EU foreign spokesperson of sorts.
