On the issue of being part of Bush's gang and then pulling out, I thought I'd share this song with you by David Rovics about the San Patricios Batallion:

David Rovics is a fine singer songwriter. He wants to come back to Ireland in May but needs people to commit to organising gigs for him. Shouldn;t be too hard to pull a crowd. There are a few CDs knocking around (if anyone wants a copy email me at [email protected]).

Gracias companero. Este es la verdad, si,no? Yo creeo mucho en los heroes do los brigades de San Patricio. Y en Mexico, muchos compasinos dice este es la verdad tambien. Me espanol es Ok para un catholico de Estedes Unites y tambien me familia este catolicos de'l Irelande del norte.

what is happening to American greenpartymike?
spanish, irish, english, catholicism, NI.
you´re mixed up man!
That cosmopolitan stuff won´t help Ireland.
oh no.
The Irish people want security and prosperity.
People they can trust at the top. Gardaí who may have the occasional bad child prostitute touting apple amongst their ranks but they are in the main "a good bunch of lads", trial by judges who know, who have lived and learnt. They don´t need this joyriding element criticising everything eith their joint smoking ecological resistance. Academics that root their knowledge in the real world of practical career application in the modern multi-corporate world.
They don´t want spanish and irish.
oh no.
You´re mistaken there.
You were obviously born in another country.
and only pretending to carry Irish culture and identity and history. You´re a Plastic paddy!
& so too am I.
Plastic to the laminated core.
And i am not awaiting
"the recycling".
