peace camp up dates![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() some young vistors to the camp Today a group of school children from Roscommon are visiting the peace camp, to see first hand the work that is being done. we at the peace camp are really encouraged by their visit because it gives children an opportunity to access an environment and perhaps think and question in a way perhaps that they would not be able in the class room. Also the Vincent brown show is being broadcast from the camp tonight and the Pat Kenny radio show is doing a report from the camp. local, national and international visitors are constantly passing though, and contructive support to the daily running of the camp is of course always welcome. The camp is growing pyhsically and spritually, and it will not leave until the warplanes do. as usual and it seems increasingly so, the US Planes are landing. While monitoring this week, i have come to realise that in fact there are more military and contracted US planes than civilian planes passing through the airport. Several hundred troops have been witnessed on a daily basis, the contracted cargo planes sit maybe four or five at a time. VIP jets of the Navy Department and US Airforce are regular visitors.none of the activity inside the fence is new, but Who is running this airport?!! |
