Time to Occupy the Campuses! Today's Irish Examiner has the full story. The Head of the Council of the Directors of Institutes of Technology, Dr. Mary Meaney, has said that the Government should reintroduce college fees. Following on from University heads such as Dr. Art Cosgrave (UCD) and Dr. Seamus Smyth (Maynooth) this shows that most, if not all of the Colleges are against their own students. Screw occupying government buildings, lets take over the Colleges!

Where a college head comes out in favour of fees or a graduate tax the SU should organise oposition. Students should occupy, protest, boycott lectures, tutorials, practicals etc.
The SUs should get active and get militant on this issue. Students can defeat fees if they get organised alongside trade union activists and community activists to fight the government's agenda of cut-backs.
Where the SUs are full of self serving hacks you should organise a camapign of students against the government's fees
Cad é MAI?
