At night from September 7th to 8th in Grodno a policeman Valery Shpakevitch had beaten up a famous rock-musician and journalist from Grodno Stas Potchobut. Stas had the transformed cheekbone, concussion of brain and numerous bodily injuries after the beating. Doctors performed an operation of face.

At night from September 7th to 8th in Grodno a policeman Valery Shpakevitch had beaten up a famous rock-musician and journalist from Grodno Stas Potchobut. Stas had the transformed cheekbone, concussion of brain and numerous bodily injuries after the beating. Doctors performed an operation of face.

Public prosecutor’s office declined to enter an action against Valery Shpakevitch despite the fact that his guilt had been confirmed by testimonies. But public prosecutor’s office appealed to Department of Internal Affairs with demand to check conformity Valery Shpakevitch to holding post. The police authorities defended their man and they only gave him an official reprimand. Shpakevitch appealed to Department of Internal Affairs authority now.

We’re appealing to all not indifferent people to support fax-protest action conducted by internet-newspaper “Pahonia” [http://pahonia.promedia.by] and left organization KDS “Razam!” [http://razam.by.ru].
