7th January 2003.
The IRPWA was relieved to learn that the protest by two Irish prisoners in Belmarsh Gaol has ended. The prison authorities met the men yesterday (Monday 6th) and after discussion issues were resolved to the satisfaction of all. We hope that the same common-sense approach will be adapted in all other matters concerning prisoners both at home and abroad.
