Colombia xmas draw /message for new year

category national | miscellaneous | news report author Sunday December 29, 2002 12:14author by Sean Smyth - ctusc Report this post to the editors

150 trade unionists murdred in colombia.

The draw for the Colombian trade unionists Solidarity Campaign was held on Tuesday 17th Dec in the John Hewitt, (1) Billy Davey (2) Maurice Cunningham (3) Jimmy Elsby. We thank all those who have supported the campaign in the past year. The trade unions in Colombia lost over 150 members this year, murdered. Their only crime was defending the poor, their public services and the right to belong to a trade union of their choice, from the real axis of evil “WTO, WBO, IMF.)
Too the individuals especially those within the Irish Congress of Trade Unions (NI) who have tried to stop our campaign for their own petty sectarian reasons, YOU FAILED, may the consequence of your actions rest heavily on your conscience, to call you bastards would be unfair to bastards because being a bastard is a accident of birth, were as you are, in the words of “Brendan Behan” Dastards.
There is much work to be don’t in the coming year if we are to help stop the murder of trade unionists in Colombia, last year death count was down by 25% compared to 2001, the campaign is working and with your help we can make a bigger difference.
Workers of the World Unite and Victory will be ours

In Solidarity

This is a tragic story. One can only assume that at least some of these killings were assisted by technical advice or training provided by the Irish Terrorists who have been caught there.

As is and has been the common practice in South America - so turning this one on the 3 men there from Erron is an orwellian distortion of the reality
