category national | miscellaneous | news report author Wednesday December 04, 2002 11:17author by David Browne - Irish Anti War Movement Report this post to the editors

March on US Embassy this Saturday 7th Dec

As Bush's gang gets ready for war, a large scale march is set for Saturday in Dublin. Protestors from all over the country are set to participate in the National Demonstration and March to the US Embassy on Saturday coming (7th December). The March Assembles at 2.00pm at the Central Bank Plaza in Dame Street Dublin and will march to the US Embassy in Ballsbridge.

Buses are already organised from Galway, Cork, and Waterford and other towns are in the process of making travel arrangements.
Local anti war groups are making up their banners and placards in readiness. It is expected there will be a number of trade union delgations as well as political and social organisations participating.
Called by the broad-based Irish Anti War Movement, tens of thousands of leaflets have been distributed by local activists outside schools, shopping centres, workplaces, etc. And poster have been put up widely.
We need a last minute push to make this a big success and help build a mass international movement that can stop Bush's war.

Details of buses, and travel from around the country is available from 087-6329511 or visit http://www.irishantiwar.org
